In Tambov "Smart stops" appeared

At technical support of M2M Telematics Tambov company, the regional partner of M2M Telematics Group, on passenger shelters of the city there began work new convenient services for passengers. Now residents of Tambov, being at a stop, will be able accurately to monitor movement of public transport and to perform different payment transactions, including replenishment of cards of cashless payment of travel by transport.

Information on arrival of the passenger transport equipped with the GLONASS equipment to within 1 minute is displayed on one of screens of the stopping terminal, the second screen is involved under the system of instant payments. "The smart stop" is also equipped with video cameras for ensuring additional safety of passengers, and shortly within the project also the system of a public address system with the call key of services of the emergency reaction will be installed.

At the moment in Tambov stops" - Dramatic theater and Park of Culture are set 3 pilot "Smart (on both parties of the movement), - which display information practically on all routes of public and commercial transport. Financing of the project regarding placement of the equipment is performed by CB Interkapital-Bank, and regarding connection of communications - Administration of Tambov. Until the end of 2011 in Tambov it is going to set 100 more of "Smart stops" at the expense of means of commercial enterprises.

In total the navigation and coherent equipment equips 450 units of transport of Tambov and the Tambov region which movement is controlled by the MAU "Passenger traffic" dispatching center. In 2010 M2M Telematics Tambov Navigation implemented the navigation system of control of city transport based on GLONASS "Tambov". Also the city was connected to the DorogaTV Internet service allowing to learn from any device having Internet connection a situation on roads and places of emergence of "traffic jams", to look at location of the necessary bus or to lay a trip route. And on the website of Administration of Tambov it is possible to visit the service adapted for the Google Mother Earth program and allowing to observe location, a route and the direction of the movement of passenger transport.

System implementation significantly increased security and quality of transport service, and implementation of information services will help to show visually to passengers what GLONASS system is necessary for and what benefit it can bring them", - the CEO of M2M Telematics Tambov company Prokofiev Nikolay noted.

According to the chief executive of M2M Telematics Group Alexey Smyatskikh, the company continues systematic development of navigation and information systems in the Russian cities, paying special attention to additional services for passengers. "Each city can independently select what information services for passengers to implement based on solutions GLONASS/GPS, however invariable are problems of increase in security and service quality in transit of passengers", - Smyatskikh Alexey emphasizes.
