The results of the first months of commercial operation of a system Proxima Warehouse of WMS on distributive spare parts depot and supplies for agricultural machinery of Promintel company in Kazan are summed up.

Promintel is the largest supplier of spare parts, oils and filters for import agricultural machinery, special equipment, trailers and semi-trailers and also represents a full range of spare parts for industrial equipment.

Specialists of IT Scan company offered and implemented the technology of management of warehouse processes considering such features of the automated warehouse as an intensive goods turnover and a significant amount of oversized goods.

The topology of a warehouse includes rack storage using shelf and frontal racks, besides, street storage is used. Account of the main part of the stored nomenclature is kept on a barcode of the producer, and about 30% of goods are marked by an internal (system) barcode.

Document flow between a corporate information system "1C: Trade Management" and a warehouse management system is completely automated. Employees of a warehouse are equipped with radio-frequency data collection terminals. The automated acceptance of Inventories on a warehouse, management of placement, selection, shipment and a krossdoking is implemented.

Staff of Promintel company defines results of the first months of operation of a system:

  • performance of process of shipment of spare parts, and as a result, increase in a flow of clients whom the warehouse is capable to service is twice increased;
  • personnel labor productivity increased;
  • complete set errors are minimized;
  • the reliability and efficiency of reporting information on existence of goods in a warehouse is provided;
  • inventory process became simpler;
  • idle time of motor transport and the warehouse equipment is excluded.

Thus, optimization of deliveries of spare parts allows Promintel company to satisfy quickly customer needs in spare parts. Obtaining reliable information in real time gives the chance to quickly make decisions and to react timely to changes of a commercial environment.

The achieved results firmly strengthened the leading positions of Promintel in the regional market of sales of spare parts and supplies for agricultural and special equipment of the western producers.
