Within the joint project of the companies "IT Scan" and "MTsFER-consulting" the warehouse of the first stage of Nizhnevartovsksiburservice LLC is automated.
Specialists of integrator execute a full range of works on preparation and implementation of Expert Logistic WMS on a warehouse of the oil and gas company. This hi-tech warehouse management system combines the high performance and the innovation functionality covering all range of logistic processes and also fully considers specifics of warehouses of the Russian enterprises, and, in particular, features of the Nizhnevartovsksiburservice storage working with groups, both piece, and weight, measured materials and spare parts. Features of products of different groups demanded need to use different methods of selection, barcoding, placement and accounting for each of three groups.
All range of warehouse processes is automated, accounting of piece, weight and measured materials is created, integration of WMS with CIS is made, the individual logic of processing for each group of materials and spare parts is implemented.
Existence of transactions - a complete set and disassembling of the equipment became one more distinctive feature of a warehouse of Nizhnevartovsksiburservice LLC. Besides, when carrying out similar transactions defects detection is possible. All this is reflected in algorithms of a warehouse management system. According to the 1C programmer of IT Scan company Alexey Popov, implementation of difficult operation algorithms with metal rolling which is considered in tons became one of important features of the project. It found reflection and in the block of exchange of the customer (1C) of WMS and CIS. Also the mechanism of "reconciliation of a remaining balance" between 1C and a System was implemented.
It should be noted that the warehouse working a considerable part of year at subzero temperatures imposes special requirements to the equipment, in particular, to marking by labels, and to use of data collection terminals. For automation of a warehouse of the oil and gas company the high-performance printers of the Zebra ZM400 labels intended for unceasing work in a corrosive environment and data collection terminals of Symbol mc 9090 capable to work in extreme temperature condition from -20 ° up to 50 °C are selected.
Warehouse management system for industrial giant
The IT Scan company automated a warehouse of industrial giant Sibur Khimprom Ltd In Sibur holding, the largest gas-processing and petrochemical company the project on automation of a production warehouse is successfully complete. Sibur wins first place in Russia on volumes of processing of associated petroleum gas (according to IHS CERA) and is the leading company of the Russian petrochemical industry. As of September 30, 2012 Sibur released products on 27 production sites, the client portfolio of the company included more than 1,500 large consumers in fuel and energy complex, automotive industry, construction, a consumer sector, chemical and other industries approximately in 60 countries of the world, the total number of staff of holding exceeds 30 thousand people. Continuing radical upgrade and expansion of capacities, it is impossible to do without optimization of warehouse economy. In May, 2012 the holding started project implementation on automation of a production warehouse of the Sibur Khimprom Ltd enterprise (Perm).
About an object The total area of a warehouse is 3000 sq.m, quantity of pallets - about 2000. Average daily turnover of products reaches 350 tons. The warehouse is subdivided into 3 functional zones, first of which – directly production, here special installation fills polystyrene in big bags (bigbags) and bags on 25 kg. Further the robot collects the filled bags in pallets which then roll up in a film. The storage area is provided by the 3rd and 4-storeyed racks. The zone of shipment is a stage with several gate for machines. Work in a warehouse is carried out in shifts in the round-the-clock mode.
Transition to new "rails" In 2012 the company management made the decision on automation of technology processes in a warehouse with use of a system of the class WMS. The curator of the project Vladimir Bashkirov tells: "System implementation had to solve such, important for us, tasks as:
- Increase in speed of accomplishment of standard warehouse transactions.
- Management of shipments.
- Standardization of carrying out key warehouse transactions and reduction of quantity of the errors arising at their accomplishment.
- Increase in accuracy of data in a warehouse with use of technologies of address storage, shaped coding and WI-FI-networks.
- Operational condition monitoring of a warehouse.
- Leaving from dependence of work of a warehouse on expert knowledge of personnel.
- Lot-based accounting.
- Inventory (correction of a remaining balance in cells) without stopping a warehouse.
Also we wanted to provide complete data transparency on a warehouse, to conduct monitoring of activity of a warehouse and personnel, to exercise control and storage of history on accomplishment of warehouse transactions, management of placement, receiving and processing of statistical information. With heavy responsibility and care we approached the choice of a management system for a warehouse complex. Our specialists considered proposals of different suppliers of the western and Russian systems. The choice was stopped on the Expert Logistic system from IT Scan company. For benefit of this solution played a large number of successful implementations in Russia and the CIS, including, in production warehouses. Since 2008 the Expert Logistic system unmistakably manages a warehouse of JSC SiburTyumenGaz. In the system of IT Scan company we saw the most suitable functionality for the solution of our tasks with the minimum quantity of completions".
The representative of IT Scan company Alexander Eryomenko tells about process of implementation: "We separated system implementation into several stages. 1. Several days we were engaged directly in installation of a system, setup of printers, data collection terminals, installation of jobs. 2. Two weeks were allotted on personnel training of a warehouse – loaders, storekeepers and managers. It is one of the most important processes of implementation. 3. Two days left on inventory (without stopping a warehouse) and transfer of a remaining balance of a warehouse to WMS. 4. Directly the beginning of work of a warehouse under control of WMS. Our specialists were in a warehouse and performed operational consultation on all arising questions. The round-the-clock operation mode of a warehouse became serious nuance during the course of performance of the project, at start of a system questions could arise at any time. Also we considered impossibility of a stop of production for carrying out inventory. As a result even before implementation we provided completely working system for testing, and implementation happened without any stop of a warehouse". Automation for optimization
The curator of the project Vladimir Bashkirov tells about work of a warehouse under the auspices of "Expert Logistic": "Goods acceptance in our warehouse happens round the clock. Once a day the batch changes. The lot of products of different brands made per day in the WMS system has the status "Quarantine". The batch which is in "quarantine" is blocked by a system for shipments to clients until the control service of quality does not check these goods and will not transfer to a status "well". Thus, our clients receive only quality products. Thanks to a system defects are excluded. Work with certificates is in parallel conducted. When checking the control service of quality creates parties the certificate on products and unloads parameters of the checked batch in the WMS system. A system is integrated with LIMS (a management system for laboratory information) – for transfer to WMS of certificates and parameters of batches from control service of quality. Also a system within this project is integrated with 1C7.7 and with 1C8.2 At shipment of products to clients, a system automatically prints required certificates on the shipped batches. Thanks to this functionality time for document transfer for a warehouse and also for search of required certificates at shipment of products is considerably reduced. In "doavtomatizatsionny times" our workers manually carried packs of papers and touched huge piles in search of the necessary documents on shipped consignments". Successful joining Integration of "Expert Logistic" with LIMS, 1C7.7 and with 1C8.2 became an important step of the project. Synchronization in the main reference books and also exchange of documents on all intra warehouse and interwarehouse processes is executed. Curator of the project from Sibur Vladimir Bashkirov: "Undoubted plus of "Expert Logistic" is existence in this system of the standard block of integration which allows to integrate without problems it with any other system, and in particular with 1C. The integration module for 1C 7.7, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 is a ready prototype of the interface of integration from CIS/ERP. It is configured under individual structure of documents and reference books by the Customer". Summing up the results The curator of the project Vladimir Bashkirov tells: "The complete transparency of work of a warehouse became the main outcome of implementation of "Expert Logistic". Now in the online mode all warehouse processes and activity of personnel are controlled. Managers at order placement see the current relevant remaining balance of products, available to sale, in a warehouse taking into account overdue and quarantine products. Selection of goods and shipment is made by loaders on system tasks, the storekeeper only controls shipment. Thus, we excluded dependence on expert knowledge of personnel. Also completely there is no possibility of shipment to the buyer of overdue or quarantine products. We can quickly create all types of the reporting under work of a warehouse".
