Smartec ST - SC - a series — a line of devices for access control systems.

2018: ST-SC010

On August 28, 2018 the ARMO-Systems company announced that the family of the equipment Smartec for the ACS was filled up by ST-SC010 controllers for creation of autonomous system of access control on 500 users. Devices differ in small dimensions, small weight and democratic price.

Smartec ST-SC010 controller

As the developer noted, ST-SC010 allows to control access to the premises and buildings remote from the main office (for example, warehouses) as for creation of such independent ACS it is not required to lay a cable from main system. Memory of the controller is expected storage up to 500 codes of identifiers, and a power supply it receives from a DC power source with tension 12 V. Devices are efficient at temperatures up to -40 °C that allows to set them in not heated premises, and for display of a status of independent ACS they are supplied with the two-color LED indicator.

According to the statement of the producer, the high level of security is provided by simple construction of the independent controller which provides its installation in the protected premises/building, and the reader – outside on an input. Mounting the reader outside of the premises, and the controller – in it, it is possible to reduce cracking probability, in comparison with the independent ACS based on pair the reader controller in one device. In addition setup of option of identification according to the map and the code allows to protect an object from unauthorized penetration (jointly), at this ST-SC010 supports the identification mode in the ACS separately by the code or according to the card.

The compatibility with the majority of readers provides the interface of the Wiegand controller via which interaction between it and the reader is performed. At the same time ST-SC010 supports the Wiegand 26 and 34 formats which use many modern network and independent ACS. The controller can work with the most widespread readers HID Proximity, Em-Marine, iCLASS and others therefore is, according to the developer, the universal solution for the organization of autonomous system of control and access control. ST-SC010 supports not only card readers, but also readers with the keyboard and a 8-bit output format, the developer noted.

ST-SC010 is programmed using the IK-panel and/or master cards which are included in the package of its delivery. Using these accessories, it is possible to add new codes of ID cards and their group (group registration of cards) to ACS base or to delete them. At the same time only the IK-panel allows to erase from memory the RFID code without physical presence of the card that is demanded in case of its loss. Using the panel also setup of option of identification, control mode by the lock and some other functions which are used by the independent ACS is performed. The controller supports copying of data on users from memory of other device that simplifies its setup on objects with already available controllers, the producer claims.

Smartec noted that existence of two operation modes of the relay of the lock which are programmed using the panel belongs to differences of ST-SC010. Depending on "chelovekopotok" and purpose of the premises in which independent ACS limit access this controller allows to program the relay on the pulsed or trigger mode. During the work in a pulsed mode when permission to pass is got, the relay supplies on the lock during the defined, preset period (for example, 5 c), and during the work in trigger – continues power supply before repeated identification in the ACS. The last mode is convenient when installing the independent controller on a door of premises at which input should remain free, for example, in business hours.

2011: ST-SC130EK

The lineup of Smartec devices for control systems of access was filled up by ST-SC130EK controllers readers with the dial keyboard. They are intended for the organization of one access point and can store in memory up to 1000 ID cards and PIN codes. Devices are equipped with the reader of the EM Marine standard which works at frequency of 125 kHz and accepts codes of cards from distance of 15 cm Besides, at connection through a Wiegand-input of the additional reader Mifare, the controller reader will work also with cards of the Mifare format. ST-SC130EK is programmed using the master card or the built-in dial keyboard.

ST-SC130EK has the high-strength body with extent of heat/moisture protection of IP65 and can work in the temperature range from-20 to +50 °C thanks to what it can be used for access restriction not only in premises, but also in street conditions. For increase in service life and weather proofing electronic circuits of the controller are covered with a thin film from polymeric pitches. Besides, the controller reader is supplied with LED indicators and a sound buzzer which signal about a current status of the device, for example, about connection to ST-SC130EK of a power supply or about results of identification — pass permission/prohibition.

Smartec ST-SC130EK combines functions of the reading-out and control device at the same time as it is equipped with the contactless card reader, charms and other passive transponders of the EM Marine standard and the controller with the Wiegand-interface. For ensuring pass through access point this controller reader has the database on 1,000 codes of cards and PIN codes, and provides their method from distance to 15 cm of ST-SC130EK can be used for access restriction to certain premises of small office, the apartment, a cottage, production, warehouse, etc.

The ST-SC130EK controller is programmed by two methods: using the master card which is delivered together with the device, or using the built-in keyboard. For record in memory of the controller of numbers of proximity of cards, it is enough to enter the corresponding mode of setup and to consistently show to the reader which is built in the controller all cards, or to key their codes. Numbers of PIN codes are set only from the keyboard. It should be noted that when using the keyboard the controller reader allows to delete codes of separate RFID cards without their physical presence, for example, in case of loss.

It is possible to increase security of access point when using ST-SC130EK, having connected to it via the Wiegand 26 interface the additional reader device. In this case the controller reader is mounted in the protected premises, and the additional reader is installed from outer side of a door. At the expense of it, access control according to cards can be exercised both on an input, and on an exit for one access point. In particular, through a Wiegand-input it is possible to connect the reader of the EM Marine or Mifare standard.

State management of the actuator, in particular, of the electronic lock of a door, is performed through a relay exit of ST-SC130EK which activates opening of the lock after successful identification of the code of the card. Actuation time of the relay (a lock unblocking) is selected at installation of the device, however can be at any time reprogrammed. Also the controller reader can be controlled the exit button which is installed in the protected premises and which clicking the controller perceives as a command for a door lock unblocking.
