Car sharing "Sitidriv" removed the software of the German Exasol and switched to the Russian DBMS

Carsharing "Sitidrive" completed the migration the Germandatabase management systems Exasol from to Russian, Arenadata DB completely replacing the foreign solution for analyzing data on the operation of the service. The project to switch to domestic software started in the summer of 2024. This was Arenadata reported by the press service in November 2025.

The implemented project made it possible to provide an hourly update of data for business analysis and operational reporting. The current storage capacity is about seven terabytes, data from which is used daily by more than 200 business users and analysts.

The task of finding a domestic DBMS with the necessary functionality and support was faced by the Sitidriva team in connection with the requirements of disconnecting a foreign solution within the prescribed period. The choice fell on Arenadata DB as a solution that has already proven itself among major players in the Russian market.

The high requirements for the frequency of data updates create atypical and complex tasks for the analytical system. Consumers of information are business analysts and business users of the company, who receive data through specialized business intelligence dashboards.

The use of the Russian DBMS allows Citidraiv to effectively make decisions based on data when managing a fleet of almost 20 thousand cars. Many key business processes in the company rely on analytical data from Arenadata DB in their work.

Mikhail Shakhov, head of the Citidraiva data infrastructure management department, noted that the transition to the domestic platform was a challenge, but the company received a sustainable and developing solution. He stressed that working with data remains a key element of the service, allowing you to quickly and reasonably make decisions in the interests of customers and businesses.

Maxim Vlasyuk, Director of Industrial Sector at Arenadata Group, believes that replacing a foreign solution poses a serious challenge for a Citidriva-level company. He noted the critical importance of stability, scalability and analytics quality, where platform reliability directly affects service development and user experience.
