OTP Bank has implemented Kaspersky Lab's Kaspersky Anti Targeted Attack platform, as well as Kaspersky EDR Expert. The bank announced this on November 13, 2025. The KATA and KEDR Expert bundle is a native-type XDR solution with the ability to detect, investigate, and respond to complex incidents. Kaspersky Lab products allowed OTP Bank to protect its corporate infrastructure from complex cyber attacks without attracting additional resources and in compliance with legal requirements.

OTP The Bank needed tools to detect traces of compromise and respond to threats to implement an information security strategy. Among the selection criteria, the priority was the quality of the cyber threat detectors provided.

KATA and KEDR Expert provide comprehensive control and protection for key threat vectors such as network infrastructure, web traffic, e-mail, and endpoints. The system not only detects the attacks that have begun and their consequences, but also prevents potential incidents.

Thanks to the analysis of network traffic, the use of an advanced sandbox for emulating threats and the use of a large set of modern detection technologies, the Kaspersky Lab solution allows you to detect even advanced attacks. In addition, the complex supports integration with existing information protection tools in the bank, providing a single information space and increasing response efficiency.

The platform allows you to automate the assessment and issuance of verdicts on potential security threats, reducing the burden on information security specialists. For example, using XDR, you can implement automated sending of suspicious files (as a result of triggering SOC correlation rules) for sandbox verification, as well as analyze the source code using artificial intelligence. The SOC analyst receives the resulting report indicating the degree of threat and, relying on priority, responds quickly using the broad capabilities of the platform to localize the incident.

Targeted cyber attacks are carefully prepared by attackers and take into account the specifics of the organization. Often, organizations cannot detect attackers for a long time.
