2025: Detention in St. Petersburg
A court in St. Petersburg detained Alexander Gorokhov, deputy general director of one of the largest organizers of congress and exhibition events in Russia, Expoforum International LLC. He is accused of legalizing funds on an especially large scale (paragraph "b" of part 4 of article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported in October 2025 in the press service of the regional TFR. Gorokhov was approached as part of an investigation into a fraud case in the execution of an agreement with a government agency in the amount of 2 billion rubles, according to which three people are accused.[1]
