Was born on October 10, 1958 in Novosibirsk, in 1979 graduated from the Novosibirsk highest military command college of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, in 1990 Military academy of M.V. Frunze, in 2002 Military academy of the General Staff of Armed Forces of Russia.

From 1979 to 1993 passed military service at positions of the commander of a platoon, the commander of a platoon of cadets, commander of a company of cadets, chief of staff – the deputy commander of a regiment, the first deputy head of department – the chief of staff of Management of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic Kyrgyzstan, the chief of staff – the deputy chief of army task force of Central office of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. From 1993 to 2000 served in the Main command of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. In 2000 from a position of the head of department of operational management of general staff of the Main command of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation came to Military academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. After its termination in 2002 it is appointed the chief of the Center of operational and tactical researches of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. In December, 2005 it is appointed the deputy commander troops of the Siberian regional command of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on combat training.

The decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 17, 2008 No. 353 it is appointed the chief of the St. Petersburg military institute of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

It is awarded the order Courage, the medals of Suvorov, "For difference in protection of public order", "In memory of the 850 anniversary of Moscow", "For military valor", "For the fighting commonwealth", "For difference in military service", to "200 years of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation", "For difference in service" 1, 2 and 3 degrees.

Repeatedly was involved in combat operations in the territory of North Caucasus region and protection of public order at force majeure.
