2025: Start of Sales

In November 2025, the American company Leo Flight announced the sales of the Leo Solo personal aircraft. The device is positioned as a single-seat flying motorcycle designed to operate in the United States without obtaining a pilot's license in accordance with FAA Part 103 rules.

According to New Atlas, the key technological feature of the model is the use of solid-state batteries - batteries of a new type with increased energy intensity. This solution allows you to increase the flight range with compact dimensions of the device.

The dimensions of Leo Solo are approximately 2 by 2 meters. The design of the device includes 48 electrical channel fans, grouped into 12 pieces on each of the four sides of the platform. Such a scheme, known as distributed traction, provides stability and controllability. One of the founders of Leo Flight, engineer Pete Bitar, previously announced his expertise in the development of such systems.

The compactness of the aircraft is achieved by using fans with a small blade diameter. The technical compromise of this solution was an increased energy consumption and an increased noise level of about 80 dB, reports New Atlas.

The aircraft demonstrates the following operational characteristics: the maximum flight speed reaches 97 km/h, the practical ceiling is 4.57 m, the range of flight on a single charge is about 24 km. The duration of the continuous flight is from 10 to 15 minutes. Earlier, Leo Flight announced the development of a three-seater Leo Coupe device with a design speed of up to 400 km/h.[1]
