2025: Solar inRights Origin Implementation
The media holding "Igronik" and the Group of Companies "Solar" implemented a joint project to build an access control system for corporate resources for 300 employees of the company's head office. The project was implemented on the basis of the Solar inRights Origin boxed solution. As a result, the company automated access control processes, reducing the time it takes to create new employee accounts on systems by up to 10 minutes, and 80% reduced the amount of routine operations for enterprise resource administrators. Thus, "Igronik" increased the automation of access control, freeing up employees' time for strategic tasks. Solar announced this on December 2, 2025.
Igronik is one of the Russian media holdings. The company provides communication support for companies in the financial sector, retailers, telecom operators. Taking into account the high dynamics of advertising campaigns, the launch of creative projects, the company constantly connects employees to new projects and information assets that may contain confidential and sensitive information, copyright objects, personal data. In such an environment, the control of access without automation created a significant burden on the IT department, led to errors and delays. Therefore, the company set the task of centralizing and automating the process of managing the accounts of current and new employees.
As a result, the company chose the Solar inRights Origin boxed solution. The solution is based on a fully functional Solar inRights core with a pre-configured configuration and a set of configured connectors. It involves the independent implementation of the system by the customer's specialists after training. This factor has become decisive for the Igronik media holding, since such a format of the IdM platform takes into account the needs of small and medium-sized businesses and companies that want to independently refine the solution for specific business tasks.
| The introduction of Solar inRights Origin was a starting point for us as part of a digital transformation program aimed at increasing the maturity of IT services. We did not just automate processes, but laid the foundation for the safe and effective management of digital identity. The training of our team by the vendor allowed us to independently automate key access control processes and seamlessly integrate "digital islands" - 1S:ZUP, MS Active Directory and other 1C platforms. This was achieved without the involvement of third-party specialists and without providing access to our infrastructure, which was critical for us from a security point of view, "said Ilya Korolev, information technology director of the Igronik group of companies. |
The implementation process was divided into 3 stages: training on a laboratory stand, implementation on a test environment and testing of functionality, implementation on a production environment. It took 12 days to deploy and configure the system on the laboratory stand. After that, the specialists of "Igronik" in 54 days implemented the solution in a test environment and conducted full testing of the functionality. 89 days after the start of the project, the system passed acceptance tests and was put into commercial operation. The total project period was 155 days, which is about 5 months. Throughout the project, Solar experts accompanied Igronik specialists at all stages.
One of the features of the project was that there were several sources of personnel data in the infrastructure of the media holding. Based on the methodological materials of Solar, the team of specialists of Igronik independently implemented the connection to these sources.
| Access control is one of the important aspects of information security. For example, almost 40% of successful cyber attacks on Russian companies begin with compromising employees' credentials. Therefore, access control tasks are relevant for most companies, especially those that work with high volumes of personal data, confidential information, and author's developments. There is a stereotype on the market that the implementation of an IdM solution is a complex, long and expensive process. However, in most cases this is due to the fact that it is difficult for large and medium-sized companies to change processes in terms of access control. This leads to additional customization and adaptation of the product to the needs of the organization. We approached this problem on the other hand and offered the Solar inRights Origin market with pre-configured processes in accordance with the best practices that we have formed based on our experience of implementations in large companies. The boxed solution combines the functionality of an enterprise-class IdM system and the ability to be easily implemented by the customer's IT or information security team, "said Vasily Ognev, Director of the Access Control Portfolio, Solar Group. |
