Using "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" is made accounting of products of dairy group on weight and expiration dates. All warehouse transactions are executed using 5 radio data collection terminals.
The SP-logistik company performs a complete set, storage and delivery of combined product loads to retail network operators across all territory of Russia. Continual improvement of service quality, expansion of geography of delivery, development of partnership with the chief network operators allowed "Joint venture-logistik" to take the leading positions in the segment.
The warehouse of safe custody of "Joint venture-logistik" is located in the territory of Leninsky district of the Moscow region. The area of a pallet warehouse – 1500 sq.m.; stored there are about 300 names of goods of dairy group from which about 50 positions are active. All products with an expiration date; there are also weight goods (cheeses). In 2007 the management of "Joint venture-logistik" made the decision on automation of a warehouse. Implementation of WMS was required, first of all, for the organization of accounting of each unit of storage of weight goods and also ensuring high accuracy and speed of selection of goods with expiration dates.
1C Logistics was selected from all management systems presented at the Russian market for automation of a warehouse of "Joint venture-logistik" ": Management of a warehouse" – WMS in which modern functionality and rather low cost are optimum combined. The developer "1C Logistics became the contractor of an implementation project: Management of a warehouse" – the AXELOT company which offered two-stage automation. At the first stage system implementation for work on technology of visual identification was supposed; at the second stage transition to work with radio data collection terminals was planned. Such approach to automation allows to debug at first system operation according to technology processes of a warehouse and then, having made additional resources, to pass most "without serious consequences" to automatic identification of goods.
The first stage of the project of automation of a warehouse of "Joint venture-logistik" was begun in August, 2007 and lasted till June, 2008. The Customer and the Contractor started the second stage at the end of November, 2008. In May, 2009 all transactions in a warehouse were executed using radio data collection terminals.
On project deliverables it is possible to speak about solving of tasks, delivered before its beginning. In a warehouse of "Joint venture-logistik" the main transactions are automated: acceptance, placement, selection, shipment, internal transfer, feed, inventory. Accounting on expiration dates is implemented: information on an expiration date of goods is fixed in a system at acceptance and traced at all stages of cargo processing. Selection of goods in the order is executed taking into account restrictions on a residual expiration date for date of shipment for each client that allows to fulfill in accuracy strict requirements of network shops to deliverable products. The mass of unit of weight goods is specified in a system at acceptance, selection and shipment – each cheese separately is considered. Automatic order picking is made taking into account restrictions and admissions on weight for the specific client. Depending on a type and the owner of goods, the warehouse management system uses the certain specially developed algorithm for its processing.
During the project integration "1C Logistics is made: Management of a warehouse" with a corporate information system of "Joint venture-logistik" on the 1C: Enterprise platform. For work with WMS 5 mobile and 5 stationary places, 2 of which – jobs of operators are automated.
The small organizational delays which a little increased project terms did not affect results of work: "Joint venture-logistik" and AXELOT are completely satisfied with cooperation. WMS is ready for operation in a high-rise warehouse on which moving is planned by "Joint venture-logistik".
