The assistant personalizes the answer as much as possible: he clarifies the details, takes into account the context, search history and orders. Yandex.Lavka announced this on December 8, 2025.

The buyer does not have to search and choose goods manually, it is enough to indicate the task aloud: for example, what kind of sauce can be replaced with hoisin in Peking duck. The AI shop will select analogues from the range and add everything you need to the basket. In parallel, the user will be able to do other things and not waste time typing, since his hands will be free. To go to a conversation with an AI assistant, you need to click on the blue icon in the search bar, then go to the "collect by voice" section and orally ask a question.

The AI shop uses the MCP protocol, so it independently selects the sources and functions in the application that are needed to respond to the request. The service is based on complex architectural solutions, including Alice AI and Yandex Lavka's own developments. The AI assistant uses different ML models - generative, search, advisory, as well as a speech-to-text model specifically for voice mode.
