In March, 2011 it was announced 52-year-old Mike Wolfe appointment by the CIO. Mike Wolfe has more than 30-year work experience in the technical sphere and an information technology sphere, and the last five years held a post of the vice president for IT of department of development and maintenance of products of HP company. Wolfe will be responsible for management of global IT infrastructure of AMD and to submit to VRIO of the CEO, the senior vice president and the chief financial officer Thomas Seifert.

Before arrival to HP Woolf worked more than 24 years in Motorola and Freescale Semiconductor companies, having passed a way to the chief IT specialist of Freescale. Within five years he was vice president and CIO of department of semiconductor products Motorola and successfully connected business and production IT departments in the uniform centralized organization.

Mike Woolf by training is chemical engineer with degree of the bachelor of the University of the State of Alabama and the Master of Business Administration of the University of the State of Texas in Austin.
