2025: Creation of a carrier interface to control robotic systems
The company Wheelies has developed an operator interface to control the company's robotic systems. Robobuilding The solution combines the control of driverless boats, underwater vehicles unmanned aerial systems and in one operator's AWS. The development is focused on industrial applications and civil tasks: monitoring of water bodies, environmental research, shoreline control and other types of operations. Wheelies announced this on December 17, 2025.
The customer was looking for a way to combine the management of various types of unmanned complexes in one interface. At the same time, it required not a web solution, but a full-fledged local AWS, an application installed at the operator's workplace, which continues to work even in the absence of communication. The terms of reference included ensuring work with water sensors - radar, echo sounder and AIS, correct operation in online/offline modes and mandatory cryptographic protection when transmitting data. The system should also remain convenient for operators working in real field conditions.
The Wheelies team has adapted the platform for water infrastructure tasks and the operation of multi-agent systems. Multichannel telemetry, a mechanism for differentiated synchronization via REST-API, was added to the solution. The interface allows you to transfer video flow up to 50 km using OpenHD, which significantly increases the efficiency of monitoring remote objects. They also implemented offline logging with automatic recovery and visualization of water sensors right in the operator interface. Data transfer and storage is protected through the use of PKI at all stages of information exchange.
As a result, an industrial system was created that provides stable operation with unstable communication. It increases operator situational awareness and accelerates synchronization recovery. This strengthens the product line and helps to form the modern infrastructure of autonomous complexes.
| The project demonstrates how the Wheelies platform can scale to different classes of robotics. The operator is able to work through a single technological environment, which simplifies the coordination of systems, reduces the risk of errors and speeds up decision-making in difficult or critical situations. Unification of management serves as the basis for the new infrastructure of autonomous robots, - said Dmitry Kuzma, CEO of Wheelies. |
