TrafficLight activates own new Windows service and provides filtering of web traffic at the level of protocols, allowing to do without installation of plug-ins for Internet Explorer and Firefox or use of additional dashboards. Actually only manifestation of activity of TrafficLight is the compact indicator displayed in an upper part of the current page. Depending on security of the specific website the indicator can burn in red, amber or green color.

When entering search query in Google, Yahoo! or Bing the TrafficLight program will analyze the list of the generated links and will note safe, doubtful or obviously dangerous links. The structure of a product switches also on the Link Shortening Tool tool which interacts with Saf.li service and checks the URL addresses for presence of viruses, fishersky mechanisms and other threats. At detection of harmful activity the application will take effective measures, for example, will prohibit accomplishment of a malicious code or will block access to the dangerous page. Also the built-in disabler of advertizing banners which does not function in the beta yet will be brought to attention of users.

Unfortunately, the TrafficLight tool is not deprived also some shortcomings, the most essential of which is consumption of rather large number of resources of RAM. Perhaps, this defect will be corrected to release.
