The Amadeus company announces signing of the strategic IT agreement with the Latin American group of airlines AviancaTaca which selected a quality management system of service of passengers of Altea of Amadeus company.

Solution

So far the Group used different modules of service management of passengers of Altea. Now, according to the term of the contract and within an internal process of upgrade, AviancaTaca will implement the complete version of the Altea platform for all group.

Expectations and plans

The group will be able to take without delay advantage of the Altea platform constructed on the principles of joint operation by many carriers. The platform will allow AviancaTaca to integrate codes of different airlines of Group into the uniform information screen of existence of places and sales, with access to control of income and service management of passengers for all participants of Group. Such close integration between airlines will provide possibilities for optimization of income and providing uninterrupted passenger service in all AviancaTaca group.

At the same time airlines will be able to share data on armoring (PNR) and passengers. The agreement will allow to simplify process of registration and other tasks connected with sending runs.

Opinion

Fabio Villegas Ramírez, the executive president of group of AviancaTaca airlines, noted: "Merge of Avianca and TACA is directed to increase in efficiency and obtaining synergy of interaction. Work with Amadeus company and the eaten-around IT infrastructure will allow us to provide services at appropriate level. After the detailed researches and discussions, we considered that the Amadeus company is a technology and strategic partner, necessary for us".

Julia of Satel (Julia Sattel), the vice president of division of Airline IT of Amadeus company, added: "Latin and North America are strategic for development of Amadeus company by the directions. We strengthen our presence in the region, directing more professional efforts and additional resources here. Considering it and in view of the new agreement with the AviancaTaca group, we are glad to welcome TACA as the 100th airline on the Altea platform. We look forward to the beginning of joint work with the AviancaTaca group at a new stage of cooperation with Amadeus and Altea".

After signature of this agreement between the company Amadeus and AviancaTaca nine more airlines selected a service management system of passengers Amadeus Altea.
