2025: Registration in Rospatent

IXcellerate has developed and patented a method and device for cooling high-load data center machine rooms. Inventions passed an independent examination of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (ROSPATENT), which confirmed the exclusive rights of IXcellerate to the declared technological innovations. The company announced this on December 18, 2025.

The R&D IXcellerate team began developing solutions to speed up the launch of new facilities in the face of limited availability of imported equipment. The company was looking for options that would increase the capacity of the air conditioning system with an unchanged turbine hall area, overcome the problems of uneven air distribution and be able to place racks at any point without changing the configurations of the engineering systems.

The project carried out CFD and numerical modeling, as well as independent tests. Based on the results, a special formula was obtained for calculating the volume of air consumed, the temperature regime and the total area of heat exchangers for optimal selection of power and the number of fans. On its basis, IXcellerate engineers designed a static pressure air cooler (STC), which guarantees uniform distribution of air flows to all heat exchangers.

Patented solutions have been tested and successfully operated in the operating machine rooms of the IXcellerate South Campus with a total load of over 30 MW. Thanks to their use:

  • increased power and sufficient air supply, which eliminates the risks of overheating of high-load IT equipment,
  • increased energy efficiency of the data center and reduced power consumption due to system optimization,
  • the optimal temperature schedule of the coolant has been achieved, due to which the data center operates in an energy-saving friculation mode,
  • increased number of standing places by 15%, which allows to use the working space of the turbine hall more efficiently.

The invention IXcellerate allows to maintain climate parameters according to the ASHRAE standard, provides fault tolerance and service maintenance of equipment without interruptions for repairs and is applicable for any data centers and premises where server equipment is located. Its use is critical for ensuring energy efficiency and reliability of the facility and characterizes the readiness of the site for high-performance computing. The operator intends to use the developed technology when designing all new data centers. The patent is valid for 20 years.
