2025: BI.Zone Threat Intelligence Implementation

MTS-Bank PJSC strengthens the cyber protection of its IT infrastructure thanks to the implementation of the Russian BI.Zone Threat Intelligence solution, which allows the bank to quickly receive cyber intelligence and effectively resist attackers. BI.Zone (Secure Information Zone, Bison) announced this on December 24, 2025.

The cyber intelligence portal BI.ZONE Threat Intelligence provides MTS Bank with up-to-date information on the dynamics of the cyber threat landscape in the financial sector, which accounted for about 11% of all cyber attacks in Russia for nine months of 2025.

MTS Bank analyzes more than 500 indicators in real time, including profiles, tools and types of malicious software of attackers.

The AI assistant BI.ZONE Cubi, integrated into the cyber intelligence portal, helps analysts process a large amount of cyber threat data faster. With its help, you can get a detailed description of the attackers' tools and the command lines they use in an understandable language.

The decision made it possible to improve the work to identify and prevent cyber threats. The time required to obtain information about the tactics, techniques and procedures that attackers used in attacks on other companies has been reduced several times. Thanks to this, the bank much faster receives information about the new targets of attackers, as well as about the approaches that attackers use. This information is used to improve the operation of detection logic, that is, to identify current attack methods, including legitimate tools and accounts.

BI.ZONE Threat Intelligence notes that cybercriminals are forced to act more secretly and sophisticated, since large banks have a high level of cyber defense. It is becoming more and more difficult to implement a successful attack directly: most attempts are detected and blocked in a timely manner. In response, attackers are increasingly using workaround scenarios, attacking less secure contractors.
