In Russia, the area of
greenhouse farms reached 3350 hectares, and the volume of vegetables grown in them increased to 1.7 million tons

The development of the industry is characterized by several key trends. The range is diversified: in addition to traditional tomatoes and cucumbers, greenhouse farms are increasing the production of leafy greens, salads and berries, satisfying the growing consumer demand for a variety of fresh products all year round.

The role of environmental and resource efficiency is increasing. The introduction of integrated plant protection systems, biological pest control methods, as well as closed water circulation systems reduces the burden on the environment and saves resources.

Technological modernization remains the basis for improving productivity. The use of LED extension, automated climate control systems and hydroponic technologies has become the standard for new projects. These solutions contribute to significant energy savings and provide consistently high yields.[1]
