2025: Automation of certification and planning of M&R measures

PJSC Rosseti North Caucasus has modified the unified information system based on 1C: Power. Managing a Distribution Grid Company. " Together with Best, the system functionality was implemented, providing certification, as well as planning of maintenance and repair activities for secondary equipment. This functionality significantly reduced the time for the formation of MRO schedules and the consolidation of data on main and secondary equipment, which made it possible to significantly speed up the submission of reports to higher organizations and regulatory authorities.

During the pre-project survey, Rosseti North Kavkaz reported that data on secondary equipment (means of dispatch and process control (hereinafter referred to as SDTU), relay protection and automation (hereinafter referred to as RPA)) are not available in the current production asset management system (hereinafter referred to as OMS). Also, the system does not have mechanisms for certification and planning of maintenance and repair (hereinafter referred to as MR) for secondary equipment.

The lack of data on secondary equipment reduces the quality and integrity of the production asset database. In turn, the lack of planning mechanisms leads to the unsynchronization of the maintenance and repair schedules of the main and secondary equipment.

The project aimed to create a single and transparent accounting and planning process for secondary equipment. The objectives of the OMS modification project are:

  • reduce labor costs for preparation of reporting information, initial processing and verification of the obtained data by means of one-time entry of information and unification of the information collection process;
  • organize a transparent and reliable process of operation of IR automation devices (systems);
  • improve the quality of analytical and reporting data provided by PJSC Rosseti North Caucasus;
  • Unify the processes of data collection, storage, processing, analysis and preparation of analytical reports;
  • Unify and standardize automated reporting processes;
  • Reduce costs through the use of unified data tools by PJSC Rosseti North Caucasus;
  • ensure certification and automation of MRO planning for secondary equipment.

Within the framework of the project, it was necessary to automate the work of the personnel responsible for the operation:

  • relay protection means and systems,
  • data transmission facilities,
  • systems and means of dispatch and process control (SDTU),
  • process control systems,
  • backup sources of power supply,
  • measuring instruments installed at electrical substations of PJSC Rosseti North Caucasus

Within the framework of the project, the unified information system based on "1C: Power modified. Managing a Distribution Grid Company. " The system functionality is implemented, providing certification, as well as planning of maintenance and repair activities for secondary equipment. The following functions of the existing system are automated and modified:

  1. NSI maintenance.
  2. Certification of secondary equipment items.
  3. Record equipment defects.
  4. Calculate the secondary equipment health index.
  5. Calculate conventional secondary equipment.
  6. Management of maintenance and repair works (MR) of secondary equipment, including actual indicators.
  7. Accounting of process disturbances (PC "Accident").
  8. Ensure integration with the "Requisitions" PC.
  9. Generate reporting.

Work on the project was carried out sequentially, from the study of the process of manual collection and processing of information and subsequent consolidation in external files of maintenance and repair plans to the receipt of centralized regulatory reference information (hereinafter - NSI) on the classification of secondary equipment and certification examples.

Testing was carried out using a test database with the ability to delete test and incorrect data. In the course of using the functionality of PJSC Rosseti North Caucasus, in parallel, it carried out centralized work on the reconciliation of historical data. As a result, the process of bringing data by users to the type corresponding to the NSI standard was organized.

Also, within the framework of the project, additional data on the main equipment was exported to create a holistic relationship between the main and secondary equipment. In this regard, the mass certification mechanism was modified, which carried out the selection of only those objects that were required to be additionally exported.

As a result, the entire equipment database was brought to the proper quality, the sufficiency of local values ​ ​ of characteristics corresponding to the standards and parameters of the centralized NSI was ensured.

The system operates in all branches and allows you to:

  • establish uniform requirements for production asset management processes in terms of certification and MRO planning;
  • Consolidate data on primary and secondary equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • adopt a unified approach to accounting for production assets.
