2026: Construction Announcement
On January 15, 2026, a meeting of the Governor of the Vologda Region Georgy Filimonov with the head of Sberbank German Gref took place in Moscow. During the negotiations, the participation of Sberbank in the development of the future IT park in the center of Vologda was discussed. The estimated cost of the project is 2.9 billion rubles.
According to TASS, Georgy Filimonov offered Sberbank to become a resident of the new IT park. A building in Vologda has already been purchased for it, and on the same site it is planned to launch the educational project "Sberbank" - "School 21." This program trains specialists in the field of information technology and is already being implemented in other regions of Russia, the governor said in his Telegram channel.
According to Filimonov, the IT park will house an abandoned building of the former printing house, which is located in the very center of Vologda.
| We have already purchased the object from the Russian Federation, the sale and purchase transaction on it took place, the corresponding decision of the competition commission was received. We will place there an exemplary IT park with residents - companies working in the field of information technology and high intelligent solutions. The question is in the works. From next year, we will start active concrete steps, - said the head of the region during his direct line with the residents of the Vologda region in December 2025. |
Georgy Filimonov emphasized that the IT park will be created "in the image and likeness" of the Bashir Rameev IT park located in Kazan - it was once opened in the empty premises of the former Spartak shoe factory[1]
