The project of PMSOFT company is recognized as the best project of 2010 among solutions for a business intelligence

According to the results of tender of BI projects 2010 among Microsoft partners, the system of formation of the consolidated statements on implementation of investment programs of JSC IDGC of the South is called by the best project of 2010. The solution recognized the best specialists of Microsoft in the field of a business intelligence was developed and implemented by specialists of PMSOFT Group.

At the competition of the systems of a business intelligence organized among partners of Microsoft corporation, PMSOFT Group submitted the project for development of a project management information system of JSC Interregional Distribution Grid Company of the South.

The project is implemented for the purpose of development of a project management information system of JSC IDGC of the South regarding ensuring effective processes of information exchange between all participants of project activity, including acceleration and simplification of procedures of collecting and formation of the summary reporting in the company.

Within the project specialists of PMSOFT performed works on setup of the portal solution and the system of collecting of the consolidated statements based on the Microsoft SharePoint Server platform which, on the one hand allowed to use most effectively the information systems which are already available in JSC IDGC of the South, and on the other hand, most would meet requirements of the customer, having provided:

• Reduction of labor costs on preparation and report generation.
• Risk minimization of receiving unreliable information.
• An opportunity to use simple and usual tools for work with reports.

"Formation of the summary reference on any of objects of our investment program is executed on clicking of one button now and takes no more couple of minutes in spite of the fact that data can arrive from different DB and the application software, - the head of department of preparation of investment programs of JSC IDGC of the South, Kalashnikov N.V. notes - Summary reports on investment programs of subsidiaries form also "on the fly" and already comprise the forecast values helping to make the right decisions. We liked the received tool and we already have ideas on development of its functionality in this connection, we expect long-term and perspective cooperation with PMSOFT Group".

Application of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 platform allowed to meet high requirements to accuracy of the information as all reporting is prepared only on the basis of the data which are contained in uniform storage. Use of services Reporting and Analysis Services provides reduction of labor costs on preparation and reporting and allows to consider all nuances of a report layout, since headlines and logos and finishing with complex contextual layout. Data integration of services with the solution based on the Microsoft SharePoint platform provides cataloguing and storage of reports, their automatic formation according to the regulations admitted to the companies and delivery of reports to final business users according to the selected electronic formats and delivery modes.

Many users appreciated an opportunity for work with given and account from storage via the Microsoft Excel tool, usual for them. For convenience of work of remote users the centralized access to the system of reporting on implementation of investment programs of JSC IDGC of the South through the portal solution based on Microsoft SharePoint is organized.
