2025: Smart Engines AI Implementation
The group of companies Russian crab"" has implemented solutions based on artificial intelligence Smart Engines the automation of personnel hiring. Algorithms AI quickly transfer data new employees - passports, SNILS, work books, military tickets and other documents necessary for employment - to the company's personnel accounting systems, facilitating the registration of employees both at sea and on the shore. Smart Engines announced this on January 29, 2026.
GC "Russian Crab" is fishing in the water area of the northwestern part of the Pacific Ocean - in the Bering, Okhotsk and Japanese seas, as well as in the Barents Sea, the marginal sea of the Arctic Ocean. The company's fleet includes vessels to catch and transport live crab, as well as processor crabs equipped with factories to process the catch. As of January 2026, 43 vessels are in operation, while the company is implementing a large-scale investment program to expand the fleet and is actively recruiting new employees - sailors, technologists, mechanics, navigators and other specialists.
| We are actively expanding the fleet and at the same time increasing the number of crews and coastal units. Smart Engines solutions allowed us to automate the entry of data from documents and reduce the time for registration of new employees, - said Natalya Savchenko, director of personnel management at the Russian Crab Group of Companies. |
To automate personnel processes in the 1C system, Smart Engines AI is used, which enters data from the main spread of the Russian passport into the applicant's questionnaire. Algorithms recognize both printed and handwritten recordings. In addition to an internal passport, the system automates the entry of data from SNILS, a passport, a sailor's identity card (ULM) and other documents required for work on the ship. In total, the solution supports the recognition of more than 5 thousand document templates from all countries of the world, including any paper necessary for KDO.
The solution is integrated with the 1C system of the Russian Crab company, which allows you to automatically transfer data of applicants to questionnaires. The processing of documents is completely carried out within the company without transferring personal data to the cloud, and the system operates on a typical infrastructure using conventional office scanners.
