AsstrA manages transport orders using Oracle Transportation Management

The Oracle corporation announced that the international transport and logistic holding AsstrA created the new operating system on management of transport orders. A core of a system is the solution of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) integrating world practices of process management of the logistic companies.

According to the results of the first stage of implementation the single centralized platform for management of transportations is unrolled at head office of holding in Zurich, Switzerland, and in the Belarusian branches in Minsk and Brest. Commercial operation of a system is conducted with fall of 2010.

The second stage provides system deployment at all offices of AsstrA holding in 10 countries of the world. The new corporate system will allow to optimize management of transportations and also will give the chance to technology develop AsstrA holding for more operational and qualitative analysis of information and assessment of the perspective directions and the markets, says Oracle.

"Already today a system on the basis of Oracle Transportation Management does process of transportation by more transparent, allows to control stages of implementation of transportation of a load, to obtain operational data for the analysis and acceptance of management decisions. A new system will also allow to organize in the near future operational interaction with consumers and to suppliers, online to trace events and the status of accomplishment of orders, to receive the reporting under KPI for quality evaluation of service, to provide electronic document management at management of transport orders" — the president of Board of Directors of AsstrA AG commented on results and perspectives of the project of Franck Muller.

Implementation is executed by a project team of holding in cooperation with specialists of EBS Partners AG system integrator.
