Biography

1991-2020

Ksenia Shoigu was born on January 10, 1991 in Moscow. In 2013, she graduated from the Faculty of International Economic Relations of MGIMO (U) of the Russian Foreign Ministry. In 2012-2013, she worked as an assistant to the deputy head of Rostekhnadzor, after which for five years she was a senior analyst at the project and structural financing department of Gazprombank. In 2018, she took the post of adviser to the deputy chairman of the board of this organization. In 2019, she became deputy chairman of the investment committee of the targeted non-profit fund of the tourist and recreational cluster in Kronstadt, and in 2020 - managing partner of the Sistema Smart Tech venture fund. He is the president of the Triathlon Federation of Russia.

2026: Appointment as Director of the Mendeleev Valley Innovation Center Development Fund, in which medical equipment is being developed

Ksenia Shoigu, daughter of Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu, has been appointed to the post of General Director of the Foundation for the Development of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center "Valley of Mendeleev." The corresponding order was signed on February 2, 2026 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

As the head of the Foundation for the Development of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center "Valley of Mendeleev," Ksenia Shoigu replaced Alexander Maslennikov, who headed the organization since February 2024. The reasons for his departure are not reported.

The Mendeleev Valley Center was formed in 2019 to create a "holistic innovation system" to achieve the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation in the field of technologies for the production of critical substances, materials and products, as well as to increase the competitiveness of Russian manufacturers of high-tech products in domestic and foreign markets. Among the key areas of activity are AI technologies, high-tech chemistry and especially clean substances, storage and transmission systems, additive technologies, etc. Also, the center is developing medical equipment.[1]
