2026: Start of Production
The developers of the fiber-optic drone "Prince Vandal of Novgorod" ("KVN") have begun production of Skolupa keyless boats. This was announced in early February 2026 by the general director of the Ushkuynik research and production center Alexei Chadaev.
According to him, boats can be used to solve various tasks, including logistics and combat. In particular, the developers have established mass production of hulls for marine drones of several types: among them - kamikaze, drone carriers, platforms for transporting goods and floating targets.
In Russia, theIn addition, work is underway to organize the serial production of domestic engines for keyless boats. Certain difficulties arose when providing the devices with navigation and communication systems, but the developers managed to solve the problem.
According to network sources, the Shell project is not just drones on the water, but a full-fledged concept of an unmanned fleet: such devices will help with a variety of operations. The main idea is to make the boat cheap, massive and disposable if necessary.
