The Russian Navigation Technologies (RNT) company announced a closing stage of the large project on implementation to Vladivostok of the innovation control system for work of city passenger transport. This system relying on GLONASS and Avtotreker technologies allowed to solve a problem, important for the city, – violation of the schedule of traffic.
Within the project starting in November, 2010, the equipment of GLONASS and Avtotreker was installed by all municipal buses, trolleybuses and trams and also by buses of private carriers. Besides, on all the CU set and connected to an information backbone Avtotreker the disturbing buttons and stationary terminals of cellular communication providing data exchange of monitoring between the CU and the dispatching center, negotiations of managers with drivers, record of these negotiations and also listening by the manager of salon, necessary for the correct response to different emergency situations. The dispatching center with a full range of means for visualization on electronic maps of the city of location and movements of each unit of passenger transport and also for automatic identification of critical deviations from a route or violations of the schedule was also created. Special software provides planned daily planning of passenger traffic, formation of orders, waybills and other documentation, preparation and maintaining information base of normative handbook data (lists of the CU, routes, checkpoints, codes and ciphers, etc. including), integration with a 1C system and many other functions.
The special subsystem of forecasting of exact arrival time of the CU for stops and the timely notification of passengers became a technical highlight of this project. So, in salons of the CU special compact multifunction communication panels with the touch screen (AT-PAD) which are used for the automatic declaration of stops and exchanges of messages between the manager and the driver are set. In addition, AT-PAD has also other functions. In particular, the panel can be used for receiving from the dispatching center and display on the card of the changed route and the schedule, information on traffic jams, for independent laying of an optimal route taking into account these data and other restrictions.
As an experiment, at some stops the information displays connected to the dispatching center are established. On them estimated arrival time of the CU and number of its route is displayed, and forecasting is conducted with a high accuracy and taking into account the actual motion speed of passenger transport, stops on traffic lights, "traffic jams", etc. Now, having come to a stop, the passenger sees at once whether the necessary bus left and when there arrives transport of other suitable routes.
According to RNT, a system showed the efficiency at once, and now the project gained development. Already installation of an aircraft equipment Avtotreker on commercial city transport which will be connected to the dispatching downtown began. In line, after the relevant decision of responsible persons, – the passenger boats and ferries taking the important place in the system of passenger traffic of Vladivostok.
