Accenture will construct the ERP system for the U.S. Air Force

The Accenture company announced signing of the five-year development contract and further support of the Defense corporate accounting system (Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System). Contract amount is $79 million.

DEAMS is implementation of one of two joint programs of the U.S. Air Force, Transport command of the U.S. Armed Forces and Service of the finance and accounting of the Ministry of Defence designed to transform the systems of financing and accounting to increase financial transparency of military expenses.

Within the project the new Standard structure of financial information of Department of defense of the USA will be for the first time embodied in practice. In it the developed language of the description of business processes providing observance of requirements to information on budgeting, financial accounting, cost management and efficiency and also the external reporting within Department is put.

Oracle E-Business Suite will form for a new corporate system base. Partners of Accenture, BM, Deloitte Consulting, Lockheed Martin and Grant Thornton company will also take part in the project.
