Rostelecom and the Administration of Saint Petersburg signed the agreement on cooperation on creation of Electronic government

JSC Rostelecom and the Administration of Saint Petersburg signed the Agreement on cooperation within creation of a regional segment of "the electronic government". Solemn agreement signature took place in the presence of the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Igor Shchegolev. The signatures under the document were appended by the City governor Valentina Matviyenko and the President of JSC Rostelecom Alexander Provotorov.

According to the signed Agreement of the Party will work jointly on creation in St. Petersburg of a regional segment of "the electronic government" and transfer to an electronic form of services of regional public authorities and local government.

As a basis for a regional segment of "the electronic government" the solution developed by Rostelecom will be used. Distinctive features of this solution are compliance to the uniform technology policy accepted for creation of federal infrastructure of "the electronic government" and also observance of all necessary requirements for information security and personal data protection. Besides, use of this solution will allow residents of St. Petersburg to get in the shortest possible time access to services of regional public authorities and local government through the uniform portal of state services (www.gosuslugi.ru).

Rostelecom is the only contractor regarding design, creation and operation of infrastructure of "the electronic government" according to the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Under the terms of the signed agreement, until the end of 2011 Rostelecom will provide integration of information systems of executive authorities of St. Petersburg into the uniform portal of state services and the system of interdepartmental electronic interaction. Besides, in the same time the company should transfer to an electronic form of 30 public services connected with preschool, general and additional education, professional training, rendering medical services and provision of medicines, social support and service, assistance in job search and employments. All these services will be available to residents of St. Petersburg both on regional, and on uniform federal portals of the public and municipal services.

In addition, till 2012 Rostelecom will organize the center of telephone service for providing the population with the high-quality advisory help with receiving state services in electronic form.
