2025: Manufacturing Process Analytics Using Vmx Dequs System: IS

KNAUF PETROBORD has implemented a project to create a process analytics tool using the Vmx Dequs: IS system.

The solution was implemented in the middle layer formation area, where the stability of technological parameters directly affects the quality of finished products. As part of the project, the system analyzes the state of the liquid in the pulsation damper through the viewing window, recording the nature of its movement and deviations from the specified mode.

Additionally, the bay end zone is monitored: the system detects the appearance of transverse strips on the surface of the material, which can serve as an indirect indicator of process instability.

The collected data is not used to control the equipment, but forms an array of parameters for subsequent analysis. The characteristics of fluid dynamics and parameters of the visual structure of the layer are recorded, after which information is transmitted to external systems of the enterprise.

Thus, an additional source of objective data on the progress of the technological process is created. This allows you to identify the relationships between the operating modes of the equipment and the quality indicators of the product without interfering with the production line itself.

The implementation was carried out without changing the configuration of the equipment. The solution is integrated as a monitoring and data accumulation tool to improve process stability and further analyze factors affecting product quality.
