The commercial and industrial group of companies (TPG) of "SLOE" integrates several enterprises leading in production of profiles for installation of false ceilings and gypsum plasterboards, release of raster lamps, outside facing panels from polymeric materials. The largest in Russia also are a part of group the supplier of import light sources and the company on design and installation of end-to-end systems of security, ensuring cryptoprotection of information. "SLOE" has three plants on production of finishing construction materials, three specialized trading companies, has 83.8 thousand sq.m of own production, warehouse and office space in Moscow and Moscow area, more than 12 thousand square meters of leased office warehouse in regions of Russia.
According to the results of a pilot project of automation of the warehouse Terna-Svetotekhnika complex on Dmitrovskoye Highway the task of replication of the created solution on the warehouse complex located in the settlement of Alabino of the Moscow region was set for AXELOT company. Start of a system in operation in extremely short time and with the minimum costs taking into account the experience of implementation and initial maintenance accumulated in the first project became the key requirement of the Customer.
Sloe TPG Alabino's (Torgservice)
The warehouse complex in Alabino consists of 3 one-storey constructions of 3200, 648 and 1062 sq.m. respectively. Different groups of goods are stored in each of premises, the zone of acceptance and a zone of shipment are uniform and are in one of premises. Unlike a warehouse complex on Dmitrovskoye Highway with three-storied rack constructions, in a warehouse in Alabino floor storage of goods is mainly used.
The range of goods of Terna-Svetotekhnika contains more than 10000 positions from which about 3500 are actively used. Specifics of work of a warehouse in Alabino is the territorial remoteness from office therefore issue of primary documents on acceptance and shipment of goods to clients using an accounting system and management of a warehouse is made by managers directly at office. At the same time tasks are transferred to employees of a warehouse complex in real time using modern telecommunication technologies. Such scheme of interaction allowed to minimize the organizational difficulties and temporary losses connected with different location of divisions of the enterprise.
The project team consisted of 3 employees of departments of information technologies and logistics and the Terna-Svetotekhnika project manager, from AXELOT the project manager who was also executing functional duties of the consultant for the automation system participated.
The project of replication was thought carefully over by a project team taking into account temporary seasonal decrease in load of a warehouse. The project technology certified according to the international standard of quality management of ISO 9001:2000 allowed AXELOT company to achieve the planned result with the fixed budget in 13 working days. All key stages of works met this deadline in full accordance with the calendar project schedule taking into account that technical specifications and work instructions were already developed during automation of a warehouse on Dmitrovskoye Highway. At the first stage within 5 days information exchange between a corporate information system based on 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 and two modifications of a warehouse system based on "1C was updated: Logistics: Management of a warehouse". The preparation of infrastructure of a warehouse for system implementation including acquisition, installation and setup of the necessary firmware and also preparation of initial data on warehouse topology according to the principles of zoning underlain in a system were in parallel made. Within 7 next days filling of a system by primary data and its parametrical setup (reference books, settings of rules of merchandising and standard reports, differentiation of user rights, etc.), necessary for its commissioning was made. In the same time system user training – both operators of the program, and other warehouse workers was made. In operation operators of a warehouse complex worked at a stage of start of a system in one change, and cargo processing of goods was executed round the clock (now in connection with increase in intensity of transactions the warehouse completely switched over to the round-the-clock mode). For the 14th day successful commercial operation of a system is begun with the beginning of the project of replication.
Such result became possible, first of all, thanks to the experience got during the first project, debugged project technology, the accurate organization by the Customer of works and professionalism of employees of a project team.
During the project 9 jobs are automated.
The warehouse in Moscow is Dmitrovskoye Highway, 87
The warehouse of the company of Sloe of Lighting engineering located in Moscow at the address Dmitrovskoye Highway, 87 became the first object of TPG of "SLOE" on which the new automation system was put into operation in the pilot mode. The total area of the three-storyed heated warehouse complex is 7174 sq.m. Movements of personnel and goods between floors it is made by means of freight elevators. On the first floor of a warehouse of 1361 sq.m. zones of acceptance, shipment and storage of goods for which use of elevators is inefficient in connection with its weight and dimensional characteristics are located. On the second and third floors of 2715 sq.m. and 3097 sq.m. storage areas of goods are respectively located. In a warehouse three-storied rack constructions are used. In close proximity to a warehouse the office equipped with Internet access at which the personnel conduct work with clients and accounting documents is located. Specifics of work of a warehouse complex on Dmitrovskoye Highway is the round-the-clock operation mode connected with high intensity of a trade flow. The range of goods contains more than 10000 positions from which about 3500 are actively used.
The project team of the Customer consisted of 5 employees of departments of information technologies and logistics and the project manager. From AXELOT 1 project manager, 2 consultants and 2 programmers participated in the project.
Higher organizational requirements to the performed works shown in connection with simultaneous start of a corporate information system of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 and "to 1C Logistics became specifics of this project: Management of a warehouse" which needed to be integrated among themselves. Besides, the stage of direct implementation of a warehouse system fell on the period of seasonal peak load of the enterprise. The AXELOT company successfully applied methodology of the combined pallet and bespalletny accounting in the course of automation of a warehouse. The essence of methodology is that in different storage locations the goods can be considered as on pallets, and shtuchno that provides higher flexibility of work with goods and efficiency of use of warehouse spaces.
The high intensity of a goods turnover caused also big detailing of information exchange between the warehouse and corporate systems. So purchasing managers and to sales in real time can trace a status of each order by transactions of acceptance, selection and shipment of goods. In particular, documents for shipment of goods can form only according to the results of completion of selection of goods in a warehouse that excludes possible organizational failures in work. For optimization of transaction of selection of goods in a system the special "two-pass" mechanism allowing to pick up goods using different and incompatible (at first sight) in terms of functionality of a system of the logical principles was implemented. For example, for each of selection "passes", the priorities were set. In particular, for selection from upper tiers of racks the logic of minimization of approaches to cells is implemented that provides fall forward of transaction and the smaller involvement of the hoisting-and-transport equipment. At the same time, at selection of goods from the lower tiers of racks the logic of the maximum utilization of an address space of a warehouse is implemented that allowed to use more effectively a fissile region of storage of goods and to have quickly released the big area of a warehouse.
Ensuring 123 shipments of goods to clients precisely in the planned time for the 4th working day after start of a system in the mode of peak load of a warehouse at the time of implementation became one of important results of a stage of implementation of a pilot project.
Such result became possible, first of all, because when developing a system concept by the project manager from the Customer the task of the minimum modification of the existing business processes therefore it was succeeded to minimize the adaptation period of warehouse workers was set. On all warehouse transactions there are detailed instructions which not only give a common understanding of warehouse transactions, but also in details describe the performed operations.
Among the factors promoting successful project implementation there were also following events held by the Customer:
- careful work planning and detailed study of processes which allowed to avoid the unforeseen situations which are often arising at start of warehouse management systems;
- the principled stand concerning possible modifications therefore a system corresponds to the initial concept, but not "is stuck together quick" at implementation;
- the organization of execution of works according to the project documentation and also careful fixation of all carried-out and planned tasks of the project that allowed project teams of "SLOE" and AXELOT to treat unambiguously a scope of work and the cross liabilities;
- ensuring accurate coordination of employees of project teams on implementation of warehouse and corporate information systems that reduced to minimum (less than 1 hour in initial phase of implementation, and afterwards no more than 20 minutes) delays at data exchange between systems.
During the project 14 jobs are automated.
Implementation of an automated system based on "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" allowed to increase controllability of a warehouse considerably.
Sloe TPG (Torgservice) Mytishchi
The one-storey warehouse complex Torgservice located in Mytishchi situated near Moscow occupies 6676 square meters, height of ceilings of a complex – 12 meters. In a warehouse rack multilevel constructions are used, floor storage of goods also practices. The range of goods contains 19800 positions from which about 5000 active. The warehouse complex works in the round-the-clock mode.
During maintenance of the automation system which is earlier successfully implemented on two TPG warehouse complexes of "SLOE", the functionality of the software gained some development that required reflection in the project documentation. At the first stage of project implementation within 11 days necessary information was collected and the system concept taking into account features of an organization structure of an object, its topology and the principles of cargo processing and also finished during maintenance of functionality is described. Accounting of cable products as by running meters, and bays (with a fixed length of a cable) and drums (for which unwinding and cutting of a cable of arbitrary length practices) became one of features of this project. Besides, in a system it was necessary to implement accounting of building materials which units of measure (pieces, packagings, etc.) are not multiple to order units (running or square meters). In other words, now on a selection planning stage the warehouse management system provides automatic converting of units of the order usual and convenient for partners Torgservice, in units of an inventory control, corresponding to account policy of the enterprise. Also managers had an opportunity in real time to monitor existence of each specific position of cable products by bays and drums that allowed to minimize the number of possible adjustments of the order and their approvals of the client.
The project team Torgservice included 3 employees and the project manager, from AXELOT the project manager and 2 consultants for automation participated in the project.
Before start of a system the complete inventory of a trade inventory with suspension of work of a warehouse with partners was carried out to operation within 3 days.
A system in commercial operation is launched in 23 days from project start date, then within 2 weeks the staff of AXELOT company provided initial maintenance of a system in the foreground round-the-clock mode then maintenance function was undertaken in full by the Customer. In total during the project 12 jobs are automated.
Implementation of an automated system based on "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" allowed to increase considerably the accounting accuracy, speed of cargo processing and controllability of a warehouse in general. The customer and the Contractor are satisfied with project deliverables and expect to continue cooperation.
Sloe TPG (Torgservice) Ufa and Novosibirsk region
The first regional distributor centers in which replication of the automation system developed by AXELOT based on the solution, joint with 1C company, "1C Logistics was made: Management of a warehouse", there were warehouse complexes in Ufa and the settlement of Kochenevo of the Novosibirsk region. Earlier the accounting at the enterprises was carried out in a system "1C: Enterprise 7.7. Trade and warehouse". However need of control over a warehouse remaining balance, the movement of goods from the central office in Mytishchi and also the need for increase in speed of selection of operational orders for Ufa and for increase in accuracy of accounting of shipments for the Novosibirsk region promoted making decision on transition to more functional automation system. Successful experience of cooperation of TPG of Sloe with AXELOT and similarity of keyword parameters of regional warehouse complexes with the central warehouse Torgservice in Mytishchi situated near Moscow where "1C Logistics already works: Management of a warehouse", became decisive arguments for benefit of replication.
The area of a warehouse complex in Ufa – 2532 sq.m., the nomenclature contains about 19800 positions. For storage of goods are used, generally three-storied racks. Small piece and lengthy products are stored on shelf racks; also floor storage practices. The complex works from 9 to 18 o'clock in a week.
The area of a warehouse complex in the Novosibirsk region – 3078.5 sq.m., types of storage of goods and the working schedule – the same, as in Ufa.
Directly installation of a system was made by the Customer's forces. As AXELOT the initial maintenance consisting in control of work of users, the help in correction of possible errors and in working off of difficult situations entered. From the Contractor one consultant took part in projects; control of the Customer over work of divisions was carried out far off. Project duration was 6 working days for a warehouse in Ufa and 4 working days for a warehouse in the Novosibirsk region. During the project about 2 attendant workstations on each warehouse complex are automated.
In Ufa input of a system in operation was made in the course of installation of additional racks in a warehouse and transfer of storage of a part of goods from floor in rack. Movement was made out in a system in extremely foreground mode. Despite the considerable volume of requests for shipment (40 in the first day) and the minimum work experience of operators in a system, all remaining balance of goods in a system and in a warehouse within 4 days were successfully brought into a full compliance.
As a result of implementation of an automated system "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse" the accounting accuracy, speed of selection of goods and controllability of the warehouses "Torgservice" in the Novosibirsk region and in Ufa increased. Acceleration of selection is especially important for a warehouse complex in Ufa as practically all customer orders are operational, i.e. at once go for shipment. In a warehouse in Kochenevo where the majority of orders large, require considerable time for assembly and often at the request of the client change the players at any stages of preparation for shipment, the accounting system allowed to get rid of regrading in orders.
According to the results of the project continuation of cooperation of TPG of Sloe and AXELOT, in particular, further replication of an automated system in other regional warehouses of the enterprise is planned
