2026: Seizure of property in favor of the state for 13 billion rubles
The Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office to appeal to the income of the Russian Federation the property of the former deputy chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court Igor Nikolaychuk. The total value of assets seized from the ex-judge, as well as from 15 individuals associated with him and one organization, amounted to more than 13 billion rubles. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory on February 27, 2026.
In support of the claims, the supervisory authority indicated that during the period of execution of the powers of the judge and deputy chairman of the regional court (from 2007 to 2018) Igor Nikolaychuk participated in the illegal construction of an elite apartment building in Sochi. The reward for assistance was two apartments with a total area of more than 300 square meters. m in the specified residential complex, received from the former chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court Chernov.
The prosecutor's check also showed that Igor Nikolaychuk, violating the prohibitions established for judges, was engaged in commercial activities. The business covered the areas of production of PVC products, construction and rental of real estate. The income received from this activity was not declared. In accordance with the decision of the court, the following are transferred to the ownership of the state:

- 28 million rubles, proceeds from the sale of property;
- $2.2 million, recognized as corrupt income.
The procedural predecessor of this claim was the appeal of the prosecutor of Krasnodar Andrei Kiriyenko, who at the end of January 2026 sent a demand to the Leninsky District Court to recover assets worth over 800 million rubles from the ex-deputy chairman of the regional court. The consideration of the case took place behind closed doors: the court granted the corresponding petition of the prosecutor's office on February 19, 2026.[1]
