The new version of a packet of HP of Data Protector contains the Granular Recovery Extension expansion (step-by-step data recovery) for the VMware vSphere platform now. Besides, work with pictures of systems in corporate drives 3PAR and disk arrays of other producers is supported. The HP company claims that the new version of HP of Data Protector provides up to 70% of decrease in operating costs for data protection. Also in the new version system recovery according to pictures to within a second when using the drives StorageWorks P4000 without writing of separate scenarios will appear.

HP Data Protector 7

HP Data Protector 7 is the scalable software solution allowing the obuzdat organizations the avalanche growth of amounts of data thanks to advanced technologies of backup and recovery. HP Data Protector 7 works at a basis of Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) technology of Autonomy company and allows to integrate all corporate DWH using "federirovanny" technology of deduplication.

NR also announced an exit of new generation of HP StoreOnce — the only platform in the industry supporting technology of "federirovanny" deduplication. Thanks to HP StoreOnce, clients can execute deduplication once; after that data can be moved to any place without the need for the return duplication. It helps the companies doing business on a global scale, it is essential to increase performance and to reduce costs for administration.

Both new solutions are used by the technologies developed in Labs HP laboratories and also in Autonomy HP subsidiary company. They allow to get rid of the duplicated data and to reveal the most important contents which are required to be protected.

The HP solution of Data Protector 7 includes functions of semantic and contextual analysis of data; it is capable "understand" the maintenance of unstructured sources (for example, social networks, video and e-mail) and to reveal information which needs to be protected first of all. Traditional techniques of data protection are not capable "understand" the ideas and meanings put in data. After indexing of information using Autonomy IDOL the client can automatically get access to it and use it in a broad set of cloud solutions, including in means of archiving of data, electronic detection (eDiscovery), information management and optimization of profit.
