Rosbank announced start in commercial operation of a large-scale front office system which provides to managers of network of retail sales the complete information about clients and about the products of bank used by them and also helps to make optimal solutions on the offer of new products. A system is developed by Neoflex company using the advanced technology approaches to creation of large-scale failsafe solutions, says Rosbank.
The system brought by Rosbank into operation at the beginning of December, 2010 implements approach "A uniform view of the client" (Single Customer View) which is based on use of the Uniform customer base of data of the organization. Managers see in a system in advance created marketing lists of clients to which it is necessary to contact and also recommendations about sale of banking products to them, noted in Rosbank.
A system provides customer relationship management, allows the account manager to plan the diagram of contacts with clients and also supports distribution of clients between portfolios of client managers. At the same time, a system contains to a reporting component, information on results of sales, tasks and accomplishment of plans of account managers, divisions of bank and all network allowing users of different levels to obtain in general. Data on clients, their transactions and the used products ("A uniform view of the client") are loaded into the specialized database of a system from the corporate data warehouse which is developed and supported by Rosbank within the last five years.
"We received the working system less than in 9 months from the moment of the beginning of its design. This system answers expectations of bank, and we plan its active application — Olga Skorobogatova, the vice chairman of the board of Rosbank noted. — We consider a new system as the important success factor in the strategy implementation of bank directed to expansion of presence of bank in the market".
The implemented system represents the centralized solution with the web interface which does not require additional IT costs at deployment in divisions of bank. The web application functions on the IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment platform. The database of product profiles of clients is implemented on IBM DB2 DBMS.
A system is designed as the solution focused on a large number of users. In the current configuration it is capable to support work to 15 thousand registered and 7.5 thousand at the same time working users. At the same time system performance can quickly be increased in process of growth of number of users and also volumes of the processed information on clients and products of bank, emphasized in Rosbank.
As noted, high fault tolerance of a system provide a hardware and software system which includes 2 Power System 770 servers working running AIX OS using IBM PowerHA and also use of cluster technologies to all components of a system — to the application server, the database and the ETL platform. All this provides high availability of the solution in general. Besides, the Capacity on Demand technology implemented on the IBM Power platform allows to increase quickly with a business growth system power, reported in bank.
"Powerful, reliable and easily scalable system, and working on channels with small capacity was necessary for bank. Neoflex developed for us such system — Andrey, the CIO of Rosbank told Theological. — In a system and the used hardware architecture a number of essentially new approaches which demonstrate high technology competence of specialists of the company is implemented".
During the project the complex problem of loading of large volumes of data in a system DB during a narrow technical window is also solved. Divisions of bank work in different time zones, and as result, data come to storage from them at different times. According to Rosbank, for the solution of this task for the first time in Russia the ETL processes necessary for data loading are implemented on the IBM InfoSphere DataStage Enterprise Edition platform in the configuration providing side-by-side execution of tasks.
"We accepted a call — from us it was required in 9 months not only to develop a complex system, but also to show its working capacity in distributed environment" — Lukutina Elena, the project director of Neoflex company told. According to her, the project was carefully organized, in particular, communications in a geographically distributed project team were accurately adjusted, and as a result it allowed to carry out system development and its start to operation precisely according to the plan.
At the moment a system functions on 3.5 thousand jobs in 100 divisions of network of sales of bank. A system operation mode – 24x7. During 2011 to work in a system it is going to transfer about 5 thousand users of 400 divisions of bank. As it is planned, in the near future a system will support sales of products of bank not only to private clients, but also corporate clients and representatives of small and medium business.
The bank continues replication of a system on divisions of network. Along with it the Neoflex company performs its development. The project is executed with assistance of head office of Societe Generale financial group, the majority shareholder of Rosbank, divisions of IT department of bank and department of retail sales.
