The warehouse of the EPK Trading house is automated based on "1C Logistics: Management of a warehouse"

One of the priority tasks facing the EPK Trading house is quality improvement and service rates of clients according to the modern international standards. Within the solution of this task the management of Trading house initiated upgrade of management of warehouse logistics of the company, including, implementation of the new automated control system for a warehouse (WMS). When choosing WMS the functionality of the software product, a possibility of entering into a configuration of the changes corresponding to relevant requirements of the company, the cost of a system and services in its implementation were considered. As a result preference was given to a system "by 1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0", created on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform. For project implementation of automation the team of specialists of AXELOT company – the developer of the specified system having considerable experience of successful implementations of WMS was invited.

The warehouse of the EPK Trading house with a total area of 4500 sq.m. from 9000 nomenclature positions has rather difficult technology of work. In a warehouse, in addition to standard transactions of acceptance, placement, selection, shipment and inventory, marking of goods and pallets on acceptance, control of the selected goods, change of quality and expiration dates, consolidation of goods for the purpose of release of storage locations, processing of transit loads, etc. is made. All features of work of a warehouse were considered at project implementation of automation, come to the end at the beginning of February, 2011. Participants of a project team approved the scheme of use of a new system, made changes to a standard configuration of a product, organized integration with a corporate system based on "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management", configured settings of a system and the rule of merchandising. After user training two-phase start of WMS in operation was performed: gradually to train employees for transition to a new system and to have an opportunity independently to test functionality, specialists of the client executed the rehearsal start of WMS preceding the basic.

Within implementation "1C Logistics: Management of warehouse 3.0" transfer of topology and loading of a remaining balance from an old warehouse management system with preserving of all necessary data on barcodes, expiration dates and batches was made, accounting of goods by its quality is entered, transaction of repacking of goods is added to a load with formation of packing lists, the scheme of accounting of the movement and storage of transit loads without control of their structure is developed. Automatic placement of goods is made according to its turnover that allows to reduce considerably time of selection of goods in the order. In a project deliverable in a warehouse of the EPK Trading house 5 stationary jobs are automated and 10 radio data collection terminals are connected.
