Oracle Fusion Applications had the first real user

The The Principal Financial Group investment company became the first-ever organization which began use of the new Oracle Fusion Applications platform in practical activities.***

In September of last year The Principal became one of participants of the program of early implementation of the Fusion platform. In addition to it, invitations received Siemens, Cognizant and some other companies from Oracle. For several months in The Principal implemented two applications based on Fusion: Oracle Fusion Workforce Compensation for payroll and Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management for human resource management. They were set in parallel to the Oracle applications of PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials and HCM which already had at the company. The pilot project showed that as a result of implementation of Workforce Compensation based on Fusion the cycle of salary payments can be reduced from ten to three weeks. Now in the companies are going to transfer all staff to a new system.

Within this and next year in The Principal are going to implement some other applications from Fusion Applications, including Performance Management, Goal Management and Talent Review.
