VIZERRA completed design of an interactive 3D model of the transport complex "La Sagrera"

On April 18, 2011, Moscow – Barcelona. The VIZERRA command completed the next important stage of the project on creation of an interactive 3D model of the multifunction complex "La Sagrera" – the largest transport hub of the South of Europe which will connect the Iberian Peninsula with the center of the continent. The station will contain six levels of the different railroads (high-speed ways, the local message, average distances) and also the parking for cars and a big central atrium which will connect the station to bus station and the subway. Under the station the whole district of Barcelona is reconstructed. The cost of construction of the building and access roads will be 613 million euros, the total cost of the project is estimated at billions of euros.

The software platform of VIZERRA allowed to display a complex and the adjacent territory of 4.4 mln m2 (in virtual space) with a high accuracy, having transformed more than 10,000 architectural drawings. the 3D model gives the chance to consider any part from the different parties and even to measure distances between objects.

"It is possible to call our platform the instrument of decision making. It allowed to present the mass of separate engineering data in the form, simple and clear for perception and decision making. Thanks to a 3D model about 30% of construction documentation were improved that allowed not only to improve the project in general, but also to considerably save the budget of construction", - Armand Ghukasyan, the CEO of VIZERRA notes.

The project is broken into 11 stages of which it is already executed three first: external, internal architecture of the station and adjacent territories. Thanks to the fact that the model gives the chance quickly to estimate architectural and functional features of the station, construction of the huge building began this spring. Length of a construction will be kilometer, width - 80 meters, deepening to the earth - 35 meters. A date of completion of an initial part of the project in connection with its scales is set in four years.

Use of the VIZERRA platform as planning tool allows to see a construction zone in general and to optimize decision making process, considering implementation of the project to the urban environment", - the CEO of La Sagrer Joán Balta-and-Torrendemer estimated the project.

After end of the third stage the city authorities of Barcelona could submit a 3D model of the station to the judgement of the public which monitors implementation of the largest construction object of the South of Europe. The interactive model of the transport hub and its neighborhoods which are successfully fitting into the urban environment completely satisfied city and European community and became the main instrument of attracting investors.

VIZERRA successfully performed also other business projects: an interactive 3D model of the building and territory of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, a prototype of the exercise machine of gas installation for Gazprom, visualization of a prototype of the new passenger helicopter for ASTRAROSSA company, etc. At present the next design stage of the first building of the Russian Silicon Valley - "Giperkuba" - and the territory adjoining to it and also visualization of the territory of holding the Winter Olympic Games for Organizing Committee of the XXII Olympic Winter Games of 2014 in the city of Sochi is conducted. The company creates more than twenty 3D models of cultural objects from the list of UNESCO, such as Red Square, main square of the historic center of Prague, Machu Picchu to Peru, Taj Mahal in India, the Colosseum in Rome, etc. VIZERRA, being the Russian enterprise, already managed to enter in Top-70 quickly developing companies, made according to the results of the DEMO-2010 conference in Silicon Valley (USA) and to become the prize-winner of the competition "Business Project 2010" held by Google and Forbes Russia.
