Finished the project – received a bonus. Such scheme is often used for encouragement of IT managers, and the size of a bonus reaches 50-100% of the salary. Last year bonuses of the Russian Chief information officers significantly grew.
As told TAdviser in the Antal Russia agency, for the last year bonuses of Chief information officers in Russia significantly increased. The approximate fixed salary of CIO at the moment makes from 1.8 million to 3.4 million rubles a year (at least 150 thousand and at most 283 thousand rubles a month).
As a bonus to this amount another 50% on condition of achievement of all purposes on average increase. In comparison with last year 40% of Chief information officers noted that they received a bigger bonus, it remained invariable with 37%.
According to Yulia Solyaeva, the leading consultant of recruiting company Antal Russia, a bonus part is a part of a compensation packet of Chief information officers in a bolshinchtsva of cases. Employers thus motivate CIO on accomplishment of effective objectives.
Depending on the sector of economy the bonus can make up to 50%, and in certain cases and up to 100%, a gross annual income. In those industries where business performance directly depends on quality of IT infrastructure, a bonus part of income of CIO is higher. Among them it is possible to call retail networks, telecommunication companies, banks.
However, practice of payment of bonuses is used for encouragement of top managers of a different profile. For comparison, according to Antal Russia, 52% of managers of an average and the top management received a bonus for 2010. At the same time 41% of respondents note that its size grew in comparison with last year.
The number of managers of all specializations which received a bonus according to the results of work for 2010 increased in comparison with last year by 4%. At the same time the percent of the respondents who received higher bonus payments considerably increased.
The size of a bonus of most of survey participants (35%) does not exceed 20% of the annual basic salary. 12% of respondents received a bonus in the amount of more than 100% of salary in a year.
Despite positive dynamics of growth of bonuses, the number of the managers dissatisfied with their sizes increases. So, if last year the bonuses satisfied 70% of managers, then now this number makes only 58%.
"The interesting trend is traced: in spite of the fact that many companies paid higher bonuses in comparison with previous year, the number of the managers dissatisfied with their sizes grows", - the CEO of Antal Russia Michael Germerschausen says.
According to him, it is connected with the fact that after not the most successful 2009 employees did not experience illusions of rather expected value of bonus payments, and more active 2010 allowed to expect significant increase in their amount. Such high percent of the employees dissatisfied with the size of the bonuses is an occasion to think of review of the scheme of compensation for employers, - he says.
