Synology VisualStation VS240HD
In January, 2013 Synology announced the beginning of release of the terminal of video surveillance of VisualStation VS240HD. The terminal is the economic solution for the organization of a video surveillance system with multi-channel video playback in real time on the monitors or multiscreens supporting the HDMI interface.
The VS240HD device provides effective decoding of the image by means of simultaneous reproduction to 24 channels of high resolution (720r) with a speed of 240 fps. Existence of two-channel HDMI exits turns the terminal into the ideal solution for large-scale video surveillance systems.
At connection to the network drives Synology of the DiskStation or RackStation series the terminal of video surveillance VS240HD supports video transmission and audio in the MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264 formats. For complex observation and tracking an object support of PTZ cameras is provided (turn/inclination/approach). The terminal allows to reproduce video records as in real time, and in record and also to export HDTV video and freeze frames of high resolution on external USB data storage devices. Control of the listed functions is exercised via the intuitive interface with the connected USB mouse.
Synology VisualStation VS80
The Synology company announced in April, 2011 godao release of the terminal of video surveillance of Synology VisualStation VS80 — the economic and simple device in use supporting resolution of VGA for display of video from IP cameras without use of the PC. VS80 allows to perform monitoring of the IP cameras registered on NAS Synology in Surveillance Station service-application.
The terminal of video surveillance VS80 uses the new digital signal processor (DSP processor) providing faster and high-quality decoding of a signal and consuming at the same time only 5.2 W in an operation mode. Connected directly to the LCD monitor or the TV, the terminal of video surveillance VS80 provides reproduction at the same time of 9 flows of video received from IP cameras in real time, locating on one screen all personnel of a preview in the tile mode. Existence of such mode increases efficiency of monitoring of IP cameras as a part of large-scale video surveillance systems, noted in Synology.
Support of different formats of compression of MJPEG, MPEG4, and H.264 and also management of rotary and oblique (PTZ) of cameras, audio and video allow to use VS80 in networks with the heterogeneous park of the equipment for video surveillance. Users can watch the written video on a scale of a taymkod using the player of events which is built in VS80 and also save instant pictures on the external USB drives connected to the terminal. Control of all these functions is exercised using an USB mouse and does not require preliminary training of personnel, emphasized in Synology.
"Use of VS80 considerably reduces operating costs, and the terminal of video surveillance is ideal for cases when observation function in real time is required mainly — Peter Chen, the product manager of Synology company said. — With the advent of the specialized device of the 'live' monitoring of IP cameras which added built in NAS Synology DiskStation and RackStation of a possibility of the video recorder the Synology company can speak about providing the complete solution to users for specialized problems of video surveillance".
Synology VS80 is already available to acquisition in a warehouse of official distributor. The recommended retail price — $385.
