Mass implementation of Siemens NX is carried out to Daimler

The Siemens PLM Software company, division of Siemens Industry Automation Division announced that the Daimler AG concern expanded cooperation with Siemens PLM Software, having prolonged obligations to use solutions of the company in total for 10 years and also announced mass replacement of the current automated design engineering system by NX. Implementation of NX in the divisions of Daimler which are engaged in cars will be complete by the end of 2015, and in the divisions which are engaged in trucks – by the end of 2016. It is minimum possible term of transition to a new system.

Within the global 10-year agreement of Daimler AG will begin to use technologies from Siemens PLM Software in the first series of cars since 2012. Since July, 2011 Siemens PLM Software will begin to perform support of suppliers of Daimler to wide network. The purpose of Daimler concern is further improvement of support of own business processes thanks to implementation of the integrated set of CAD solutions.

The companies want to be sure that they use the technologies, best in the class, – and Daimler not an exception".

Siemens PLM Software has successful experience of cooperation with Daimler on the current system implementation of Teamcenter®. After the careful analysis Daimler made the decision to continue use of Teamcenter as the standard PLM solution on product data management and also about transition from the CAD system applied today to NX.
