In Pskov opened the center of monitoring of passenger traffic based on GLONASS

In the Pskov region by efforts of the city authorities and Navigator Group the regional center of monitoring of passenger traffic using the GLONASS satellite technologies opened. The grand opening of the center was held on May 6 based on state enterprise "Pskovavtotrans".

As the deputy head of the region Gennady Bezlobenko, a task of the created dispatching center - control of movement of transport on territories of the region, accumulation of the objective information announced acceptance of operational management decisions activity of haulers, adjustment on the basis of data retrieveds of the organization of work on separate routes, at emergence of non-staff situations, coordination of work and information exchange with forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Department of Internal Affairs, traffic police, "ambulance" and other services.

The head of scientific and technical department of Navigator Group Alexey Novikov showed the system of satellite monitoring "Navigator-S" in operation and emphasized that in the nearest future it will connect in a whole buses on city, suburban, long-distance and transit routes.

The project of equipment of public transport of the Pskov region navigation equipment is initiated by regional Administration within the regional program "Development of a Transport Complex of the Pskov Region for 2010-2012". In 2011 for project implementation from the regional budget 3.5 million rubles were selected.
