InterSystems TrakCare LAB

TrakCare LAB − one of the laboratory information systems, oldest in the world. It appeared in 1993 and lately covered the distance from the modest database to the multifunction software package allowing to automate the majority of laboratory processes and to meet all needs of modern kliniko-diagnostic laboratory.

Main objective of a system − comprehensive organization of activity of laboratory for the following directions: hematology; clinical biochemistry; immunology / serologiya; histology/cytology; microbiology; bank of blood.

2011: Description of a system of TrakCare LAB

In the system of TrakCare LAB for each of the directions individual preferences and functions are possible. For each research reference values are entered, depending on age, sex of the patient and other conditions the template of printing of results is prepared. For microbiology reference books on antibiotics and bacteria are provided. For histology and cytology results are entered into the templates which are built in by MS Word. It is possible to use previously prepared templates, to insert into the document of the image.

Are provided in TrakCare LAB:

• configured under each department or under each user of entry form of information on the patient;
• automatic sending by the fax or e-mail of results of a research with information on a status of the patient and data from his clinical record to the doctors who ordered carrying out a research;
• sending reports on the schedule;
• confidential printout of reports;
• information management about patients;
• the organization of the accurate sequence of data processing about the patient and results of researches;
• possibility of advance registration of the studied samples and obtaining the current information on the samples loaded into the analyzer that allows laboratory to work more quickly;
• possibility of scanning of images.

Besides, opportunities are provided in a system: the organization of remote access to data via the web interface, integration into external text editors (for example, MS Word), export of data to other systems.

TrakCare LAB provides connection of modern analyzers, including with the built-in scanners of barcodes, in the mode one - or bidirectional information transfer. Direct connection of the analyzer under the TCP/IP protocol via specialized server terminals and also connection under the ASTM protocol or other specific protocols supported by producers of analyzers is supported.

2009: Entry into the Russian market

As an independent product the InterSystems corporation brought a PIM of InterSystems TrakCare LAB in 2009 to the Russian market.

2007: The beginning of development under a brand of InterSystems TrakCare LAB

In 2007 the InterSystems corporation purchased TrakHealth company, and since then LabTrak develops under a brand of InterSystems TrakCare LAB.

1993: Creation of the LabTrak system

In the world the direction of laboratory informatization arose after informatization of medical institutions, namely in the late seventies – the beginning of the 80th years of the last century. Gradually in the market the information systems allowing to computerize basic laboratory processes began to appear. In 1993 the TrakHealth company, the Australian partner, created the product LabTrak on technologies of InterSystems (Caché) corporation.
