Pernod Ricard Rouss implemented a management system for planning of the budget

The system integrator began the project on process automation of preparation of financial statements in the Russian representative office of the world leader in the field of production and distribution of Pernod Ricard alcohol.

Project objectives – reduction of labor input of preparation of the reporting, reduction of risk of errors in reportings and ensuring transparency of all processes of work with reports. Also the management of Pernod Ricard Rouss calculates that successful project implementation will allow to extend experience to other functional areas – sales management, marketing, logistics.

"Premises for the project was the fact that the management of the Russian representative office sees need of quality improvement of management and financial statements" – the head on development of practice of CPM of CORUS Consulting company Kuchin Alexey says. – The company already uses solutions for resource management of the enterprise and management of warehouse logistics, but at the same time the summary reporting prepares using a set of spreadsheets. As a result, obtaining the reporting requires a large number of iterations using separate data sources that reduces efficiency of preparation of reports, increases risks of errors and reduces flexibility at responses to additional requests of users".

After consultations with head office of the company in France, specialists of Pernod Ricard Rouss made the decision on the choice as the corporate standard for data warehouses and reporting systems of Oracle application of Hyperion Planning and Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management. System implementation was entrusted CORUS Consulting company on .rezultata of tender during which specialists of Pernod Ricard Rouss estimated offers and experience of different system integrators in the solution of similar tasks.

On the basis of used Pernod Ricard Rouss of methodology of measure calculation of activity, a new system will allow to carry out automatic calculations and to create necessary adjustments to accounting data.

"Based on this project we expect to improve considerably processes of the reporting and to create a basis for further development of the concept of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) in our company, – Slobtsov Alexander, the director of IT projects of Pernod Ricard Rouss comments. – I will note that use of solutions of the class EPM of Oracle will allow users not only to receive a standard set of reports, but also will give them the chance to create requests to data and to carry out the expanded analysis".

Project Results

On July 7, 2014 the Pernod Ricard Rouss company announced use of an information system of the management and corporate reporting.

The created system consists of two blocks – the reporting and the analysis. The reporting subsystem intended for preparation of the monthly reporting under the IFRS standards is implemented on the platform for the integrated business planning, budgeting and forecasting of Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management. The analysis subsystem intended for storage and the daily analysis of the detailed data is implemented on several modules Microsoft SQL Server, including the multidimensional data warehouse on the basis of Microsoft Analysis Services.

"All staff of finance division works in a new system since October, 2012 therefore today it is already possible to draw certain conclusions and to speak about project deliverables. Obvious advantage of work in an automated system was the fact that financial specialists got access to a uniform source of reliable and consistent information thanks to what the transparency of processes of reporting increased and control over quality of the obtained information was strengthened. Besides, measure calculations of the reporting which were executed in several different tables of Excel earlier are made automatically using means of Oracle Hyperion Planning now. It allows to increase significantly depth of detailing of the obtained data", - Alexander Slobtsov, the director of IT projects of Pernod Ricard Rouss noted.
