TrustPort Antivirus

Product
Developers: TrustPort
Technology: Cybersecurity - Antiviruses

The Czech company TrustPort announced in May, 2011 that its product TrustPort Antivirus based on the independent tests which are carried out by the known laboratories Virus Bulletin and AV-Comparatives received the highest ratings, having outstripped all other products of the leading anti-virus companies on total indicators.

69 products took part in April tests of 2011 Virus Bulletin. Testing was held on the Windows platform of XP Professional SP3. At assessment of results the number of the detected threats and false operations, scanning speed and also insistence to computer resources were considered.

TrustPort Antivirus with 100% result recognized a collection of polymorphic viruses and WildList and detected more than 99% of malware in other collections, without having allowed at the same time false operations on "blank" files. As a result the product received the highest RAP index (98.02%), having once again headed a quadrant of Virus Bulletin RAP.

The most popular antiviruses in Russia showed the following results: Kaspersky Internet Security - 94.56%, NOD32 - 93.33%, Microsoft Forefront - 91.94%, and Symantec Endpoint Protection - 88.58%.

"TrustPort is one of very few multinuclear products which every time dispute among themselves leadership in our tests and firmly located in the upper right corner of our RAP quadrant, - John Hawes, the technical adviser of Virus Bulletin noted. - The last years the company shows only good results, successfully taking all tests in which it takes part. Installation of a product happens quickly enough, in a full compliance to standard requirements and without the need for restart of a system".

John Hawes also noted high rates on detection of threats which "in most cases made not less than 99%, and even the pro-active test for efficiency of reactive and pro-active methods with the week term of "freezing" of anti-virus bases was passed really brilliantly".
