The Sony company brought in May, 2011 to the Russian market 16-channel IP video recorders of NSR-500 series which provide record, storage and video playback from network cameras of Sony with permission of HD/Full HD. 6 models which differ with quantity and volume of hard drives with a general capacity up to 12 of Tb are a part of a series and support expansion of archive on iSCSI. New products can be used for creation of network systems of video surveillance or hybrid when retrofitting by their payments with analog inputs. Each HD video recorder supports the H.264, MPEG-4 and M-JPEG formats, a write enable 720p/1080p and frame rate on all channels of 480 fps and also has 4 USB ports, the RS-232C connector and 8 inputs and outputs of alarm.
Competitive advantage of the Sony video recorders of NSR-500 series is existence of a full range of the models meeting any requirements of owners of video surveillance systems of different scale and appointment with support of record of video data with Full HD resolution. Six models differing in the capacity of regular hard drives are a part of the 500th series. Depending on the number of hard drives the HD video recorder will support the RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5 levels and also RAID 5+ with a possibility of hot swap of disks in an array. Along with high functionality, new video recorders are selected with ergonomic design.
