Situation

In 2007 the AS-24 company made the decision on opening of a warehouse complex of class A with a total area of 20,000 sq.m. located in. Cover of the Moscow region. Equipment by its modern import handling equipment and the latest warehouse management systems was the main requirement to a warehouse complex.

Solution and results

For automation of a warehouse complex by AS-24 company the solution iSolutions-Logistika based on the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics AX was selected.

Feature of an implementation project of the solution were compressed time frames and need of start of a system along with opening of a warehouse complex. The solution was set and put into commercial operation in record time – from the moment of project inspection before start there passed five weeks.

Warehouse processes, such as were as a result automated:

• Identification of goods on pallets and articles using barcodes;
• Repacking of goods for standardization of storage of goods;
• Goods acceptance;
• Placement and complete set of goods in a warehouse;
• Address and zone storage of goods, accounting pallet;
• Selection of goods for shipment using selection routes;
• Shipment of goods:
• Accounting of expiration dates;
• Accounting of the rejected and overdue goods;
• Inventory and accounting of regrading.

For ensuring maximum speed of processing of warehouse transactions on a warehouse complex the mobile warehouse data collection terminals working under the Windows CE and Windows Mobile operating system using WiFi technology are used.

For solving of tasks of safe custody of goods and calculation of services in it the functionality of accounting of goods by clients of the solution iSolutions-Logistika is used. The functional unit Billing used for tariffing and automatic drawing of accounts on the following types of service is set:

• Storage a pallet in a warehouse (in pallets and in cubic meters)
• Acceptance by pallets (in pallets and in cubic meters)
• Manual acceptance (in pieces and boxes)
• Shipment by pallets (in pallets and in cubic meters)
• Manual shipment (in pieces and boxes)
• Assembly of orders (selection of goods for shipment pallets, boxes, in pieces)
• Acceptance / shipment of goods with control on serial numbers
• Design of a document package at acceptance / shipment
• Inventory (calculation of number of nomenclatures according to which inventory was carried out)
• Close-meshed storage (calculation of quantity of busy cells)

The functional unit of "Data Integration Module" of the solution iSolutions-Logistika for integration of the Microsoft Dynamics AX system with other systems was developed and successfully used for automatic data exchange between AS-24 company and its clients. As a result with the systems of clients exchange of the following data is performed on:

• the reference information on goods;
• to the planned arrivals of goods;
• to goods acceptance;
• inventories of goods;
• to the planned shipments of goods;
• to shipment of goods.

"Data Integration Module" of the solution iSolutions-Logistika automates process of data exchange with information systems of clients "AS-24" on the platforms SAP, 1C, Microsoft Dynamics AX, JD Edwards and others. At the same time it is used as direct data exchange, and using standard opportunities of EDI technology.

At the moment the block of integration is implemented so that as much as possible to reduce costs for the subsequent input of new clients for a warehouse and solving of tasks of data exchange.

However the solution iSolutions-Logistika set on warehouse AS-24 complex allows not only to automate warehouse processes and processes of provision of services of logistics to the third party, but also solves problems of optimization of a warehouse and use of warehouse spaces due to use of such functions as:

• Automatic formation of routes of placement and complete set taking into account optimization algorithms;
• Different algorithms of reservation of the shipped goods;
• Time management of execution of operations;
• Automatic formation of tasks to warehouse workers;
• Inventory without stopping warehouse;
• Control of personnel.

As a result the solution iSolutions-Logistika set on the warehouse AS-24 complex completely meets the requirements of a warehouse of class "A" for automation and optimization of warehouse processes.
