The Ambassadorial House group is one of the largest enterprises of Tula region. The holding works at consumer market of the region since 1994, being in the lead in several directions of the activity at once.

Are a part of Posolsky Dom Group: the largest Tula retail network from 40 convenience stores "Family Moneybox"; "The consolidated distribution company" - the main regional distributor of consumer goods; Torgstroyinvest - developer of a commercial real estate; The Premier Company including more than 10 institutions of restaurant business and the entertaining sphere, and also Media-trust Company - operator in the market of traditional electronic media.

The consolidated turnover of Posolsky dom Group in 2007 made about 200 million US dollars.

Tasks

Optimize warehouse business processes; Create the common information space providing unification of business processes in a warehouse; Reduce logistic costs; Raise efficiency of production capacities.

Posolsky dom Group is a dynamically developing holding which development strategy assumes intensive growth in Central Federal District with formation of own logistic infrastructure. Fast-growing business imposed special requirements to logistics, and the available warehouses did not answer strategic objectives and tasks of the company. With respect thereto the decision to construct and bring into operation the new highly effective distribution center (DC) for storage and processing of the big range of goods with a possibility of boxed and piece shipment, control and tracking of expiration dates, with a complete set of orders by the principle "from heavy to a lung" was made. Along with start of the new distribution center (which range made 250 km.), the decision on implementation on RTs of the automation system of a warehouse (WMS) was made.

The management of holding set for contractors (integrators of a system) the task of creation of the common information space providing unification business-2 processes, transparency, timeliness and accuracy of provided data. Using integration of WMS into warehouse logistics it was necessary to achieve the following results: provide quick response to the changing market conditions and compliance to modern standards of business, to reduce costs for logistic business processes, to provide increase in efficiency of production capacities and to increase investment attractiveness of holding.

Solutions

The best tool of business process optimization selects the SCExpert system (Made4Net) which perfectly proved in the market of WMS thanks to the flexibility and broad functionality. The project on implementation of SCExpert (Made4Net) in warehouse logistics of Posolsky dom Group was successfully implemented by specialists of Red Tree company.

As the main selection terms of the partner for automation and start of RTs were defined: existence of a professional command with wide experience of successful projects and technical support of the implemented solution with a high speed of response to the arising questions, high functionality of WMS taking into account requirements of business, flexible commercial and financial conditions. As a result of the held tender the Red Tree company (Red Tri) and the solution SCExpert (Made4Net) became the winner.

According to the recommendation of specialists of Red Tree company within the project the organization of a warehouse was changed. Optimization of a configuration of racks and beams, re-planning of cells of selection, calculation of optimal number of personnel and technicians were made according to the developed card of business processes of a warehouse and taking into account the strategy of Posolsky Dom Group. Experts of Red Tree developed technology of work with use of radio-terminals on RTs, data streams were optimized that excluded a possibility of double entry. Paper document flow was reduced, loading of operators decreased, and the dependence of execution of operations in a warehouse from personnel was minimized.

The project on system implementation of SCExpert (Made4Net) which provided complex control automation with logistic processes on RTs of Ambassadorial House group was performed in a short time – 68 working days. Specialists of Red Tree provided education and training of personnel of the distribution center for work with WMS and maintenance of its functionality. In the appointed time the SCExpert system (Made4Net) was brought into operation.

Result

System implementation of SCExpert (Made4Net) in warehouse business processes allowed Posolsky dom Group to achieve essential results: Reduce costs for warehouse processing of goods; Increase quality and speed of assembly of orders; Achieve constant control of the validity of goods, effective processes of formation of set of goods, control of orders; Optimize the number of warehouse personnel, achieve performance improvement of its work; Gain essential competitive advantage thanks to putting into operation of the modern automated warehouse complex.

Successful project implementation of integration of the SCExpert system (Made4Net) into business processes of the distribution center led to significant optimization of logistic costs of Posolsky dom Group.

Implementation of SCExpert (Made4Net) which basic functionality supports all basic functions of the distribution center allowed Posolsky dom Group to achieve constant control of expiration dates of goods and to provide turnover of goods on them, effective processes of formation of sets of goods, control of orders, optimization of number of personnel and the warehouse equipment.

Thanks to the flexibility, SCExpert (Made4Net) gave an opportunity to react quickly to changes of external conditions by implementation of settings of internal business processes of a warehouse and to avoid inertness in updating of the current versions and expansion of functionality. Based on implementation 30% increase in efficiency and processing speed of goods were reached. The new distribution center of holding began to process shops 60% more, and, the same resources, as before implementation of a WMS system.

As a result of project implementation Posolsky dom Group received the most modern and hi-tech warehouse complex in Tula and area which it is possible to call important competitive advantage of holding in the market and a resource for further development and rapid growth.
