The Domocentre holding in a year automated budgeting processes

The Nonolet Kit company completed the works on creation of an automated system of budget management based on Cognos Planning in the Domocentre holding company which is engaged in retail sales of construction materials and owning shops in 12 cities of Siberian Federal District.

The project started in January, 2007. A system was transferred to trial operation in October, 2007, and the holding performed planning of activity for 2008 already in a new solution.

The created system allows to prepare the main financial budgets (cash flows, income and expenses, balance for the most significant articles), budgets of businesses (wholesale and retail, the real estate), budgets of departments on receiving and rendering internal services, necessary operating budgets. The web module Contributor supports input and approval of planned data from divisions of holding. Integration with the accounting systems for automatic loading of the actual information is implemented.

According to the customer, automation of a budgeting system reduced influence of "a human factor", allowed to perform planning at the level of business functions and internal services of departments, increased reliability of closing statements. The financial service received the instrument of scenario modeling and data analysis in the interesting cuts and with the necessary extent of detailing.
