Novell Operations Center 5.0

The Novell company announced in May, 2011 release of Novell Operations Center 5.0, the first solution of category Business Service Management (BSM) intended for integrated management of public and private "cloud" services and also the first management system for configurations (Configuration Management System - CMS) which is automatically synchronized with external data sources, helping customers to manage more effectively complex systems and federal databases of content management (CMDB). So extensive opportunities allow to gain in real time complete idea of a status of business services and their performances in a physical, virtual and cloud environment.

Novell Operations Center 5.0 gives to customers following features now:

• automatic control of a configuration: CMS is automatically synchronized with external data sources, providing the high accuracy of information display in real time;
• the approved database of content management: CMDB helps customers to manage standard configurations and to provide observance of technology processes;
• management of community: the community function is a unique social interface which allows a great number of users to obtain fresh information, guaranteeing its accuracy and relevance;
• integration of Novell Cloud Manager and Amazon EC2: capability control, manage and measure performances of systems on the basis of a public and private cloud allows customers to estimate work of service provider, gaining complete idea of these services with comparison of technology and business objectives.
