Tasks

The warehouse represents the warehouse complex equipped with 3-4-level racks. The total area of a warehouse is about 4 thousand sq.m. The range of products which are stored in a warehouse contains more than 350 names which storage happens taking into account expiration dates. The main type of storage – pallet on racks. The current daily turnover makes 850-900 pallet. Every day the warehouse processes about 250-300 orders, with total quantity of positions to 12 thousand.

The food products require observance of special storage conditions. Therefore in a warehouse the modern powerful cooling systems supporting temperature condition at the level + (4-6) 0 C are installed.

Solution

System implementation of the class WMS was caused by need of rational use of warehouse spaces, increases in accuracy and data transparency about goods quantity. Fall forward of assembly, reduction of elimination of a human factor, especially in build process of the order was our task also, we needed to reduce considerably percent of returns and to increase customer service quality. We were also faced by a problem of review of number of the personnel working at a warehouse for the purpose of optimization of its quantity. Now all these tasks are successfully solved.

The system implementation guarantee in rather tough terms, existence of large successful implementations in Russia, including implementations in warehouses of two companies which are a part of shopping Mall Wimm-Bill-Dann Ltd (in a warehouse in the item Tomilino and the item Ramenskoye) and also flexibility of a system and a possibility of its modification and the price accepted for us was the main selection terms of the warehouse management system Solvo.WMS, in addition to the solution of key tasks of the company.

Results

From the moment of completion of implementation passed only half a year so far, but already now it is possible to estimate its results. Measurements of performance indicators of assembly of orders which showed that the speed of assembly operations of orders increased by 15% were carried out, at the same time the accuracy of works increased more, than by 30%. We managed to reduce the number of returns for system operating time by 1.5 times.

The personnel increase of a warehouse does not occur already half a year, considering that volumes of shipments constantly increase. With Solvo implementation. WMS of inventory began to pass at qualitatively other level.

Further it is going to automate a warehouse of the frozen products and process of product acceptance of workshop of pouring.
